With all these rumors surfacing about Gruden potentially being fired if we lose on Sunday... it's getting real hard to not be rooting for a loss against the Giants...

Let's go G-Men.

Although the question that truly matters is, who do we have to lose to, to get Allen fired?

Vinny was allowed to hire Zorn for two years before DS fired Vinny in Dec. If BA is not fired before Gruden then I think that means (sadly) BA will get one more coach choice that is purely his, and we will have to wait for that coach to implode. Likely it will be someone as unqualified as Zorn was and we will waste 2 more years before starting the cycle all over.

What a grim time to be a Skins fan.

If they fire Gruden. Who will become the head coach?

Doesn't matter if they don't get rid of Allen. The pool of candidates willing to work here will shrink as long as Snyder trusts Allen to run the ship.

That’s my point. Getting rid of jay gets us nothing.

Re: Can the Redskins Beat the Giants in Game 4?

If Gruden gets fired midseason, they'll probably just promote somebody from inside to HC, most obvious (and everybody's guess) is O'Connell.

That might actually be a good opportunity to keep him around vs letting the next McVay/Shanahan/LaFleur walk out the door... wouldn't it ?
Everybody is raving about this kid, and the one thing that has been working so far is the passing offense, way better than last year, and we all thought that would be the weakness of this team.

Only someone unknown like O’Connell would come here to work under BA & Snyder. Having a poor GM like BA is a huge handicap to any new HC.

The last 20 years has proved that Snyder’s system of management and owner intrusion has been a complete failure for even the best HC. Until BA is replaced by a real, NFL-savvy GM and Snyder takes his hands off this team, no HC can succeed.

Gregg Williams.

The second G is for genius.

Or Todd Bowles.

Nobody with options is coming here.

I think we could use some more of this:

Williams' teams play gap sound football:

Exactly why on Earth would anyone with a choice choose this fucking dumpster fire? People still acting like we have some sort of leverage. Good for TW sticking it up this organizations ass. I wish him the best wherever he lands. Any other player on this team that could start elsewhere follow him. Dont throw your career away playing for this fucking moron Douche Snyder.

Re: Can the Redskins Beat the Giants in Game 4?

The Redskins organization, Dan Snyder and BA all have a terrible reputation across the NFL. Why come to a team where very good and even HOF HC have ALL failed? Who wants to work for an idiot boss and his vindictive lackey, BA? Most players and coaches leave the Redskin’s organization on bad terms - another cautionary tale for would-be HC.

The only people who want to come to this franchise have one of the following attributes:

1. First time as a HC:
Gruden got his shot here. O’Connell May be the next one.

2. Unlikely to EVER have a chance as an NFL HC: Zorn and Spurrier

3. Past HC who were past their prime and greatly underestimated the problems of working under such a bad and meddlesome owner. Gibbs, schottenhiemmer and Shanahan.

The longer Snyder is the owner, the more well known are his issues as a crummy and intrusive boss. His track record of failure is also legend. This eliminates the #3 candidates. Snyder is too much trouble. Same with the highest quality first-time HC. We’re left with the unknowns like O’Connell or those out of their depth like Zorn and Spurrier.

I think it would but only if we promoted O’Connell and played Haskins...then we would at least knew if we had something with that combo going into the offseason.

Not playing Haskins is once again negligent for the franchise. This season is fucking over...done. We need to play the rookie and see if we could move a vet or two for picks...

Nope, losing happens for as long as the league wants it to.
Public doesn't pressure crap.. they sit on their ass, bitch like children and keep shoveling money at losers.
At least no one on the Redskins has mono
