Re: Ravens Postgame

I was hoping we'd take Tua at #2 over CY simply because it's hard to turn down a franchise type QB, but I'm glad we did because now we'll have a franchise DE and we'll draft a QB next yr

Tu'a is on the bench, CY has been productive and will be all-pro one day and makes a big difference on D. It doesn't help Haskins to have a weak TE group, inexperienced RB and WR group.

No it doesn’t help but Terry is a top 10 WR, Gibson looks like a future star RB , and Thomas hasn’t been terrible at TE. OL was decent today as well

We need a real TE and another outside WR. Thinking between wright/sims our slot is ok

Very true, but we need another threat on the other side, they have to start using AGG, use Cam Sims more. On D DArby and Apke should be benched, I want Moreland to start and I like Kamren Kurl even if he's a rookie.

Re: Ravens Postgame

Dwayne played today like Alex would have to be honest. Small short yardage passes. Average was 4.7 yards per target.

I said the very same thing leading up to draft ... without a QB you ain’t got nothing ... As great a prospect as Young is I wanted team to trade out of that spot and get a QB AND another player of need ... OL ,TE , .. it’s water over the damn now... we need a QB !!

Heard a stat during the game on radio that coming into week 4, the Ravens had the 32nd ranked passing offense in the league.

He's RG3 2.0 but he can stay healthy, only real difference is he may be a little faster but not by much

Washington needs better play out of Collins and Apke moving forward

Safety position has been garbage

Re: Ravens Postgame

I will say this might have been the most complete games we had all season. The offense moved the ball all game. Only two 3 and outs. Defense was pretty good. They contained Lamar on 6 of his runs.

We need to eliminate mistakes...fumbling deep in territory, missing field goals, missed tackles on critical plays (Landon Collins clear shot Lamar TD run), letting them convert special teams trick play...

Compound that on a QB still learning the game...it’s too much to overcome

Re: Ravens Postgame

Mixed feelings about Haskins.
No big mistakes and some nice throw. But it felt like the mediocre plays were really ugly. Mechanics and accuracy is an issue.

Still see no point in benching him.

Overall this game was what we thought it'd be. Loss to a far better team.

That's fine but I think we can start to see effect of this "it's a process" mode:

After that 4th and goal play the defense got GASHED in the middle on run plays... and I wonder if they'd have play differently had Ron chosed to take the 3 points and make it a 2 possessions game.

Difficult to ask guys to play hard every down when we're not trying to win the game... makes it difficult to grade the D on that game IMO.

I thought the front 7 defense played better against mobile QB this time, they looked a little bit more aggressive in containing Jackson than they did in the Cardinals game with Murray. The secondary is a different story.
