Re: Om Field: Redskins Feeling a Cold Draft

Good article. I feel like the Skins FO lives for the day. JT for a 2nd and 6th, let's do it. A pick here and a pick there. Now this year we've got a total of four picks. That's not going to cut it. Too many holes.

Let's hope we get JC to improve again this year. Big year for the direction of the franchise.

The FO will probably trade picks as I type this, just to pull the rug out from under me (I am not Paranoid ), but I think we have all our picks next year, and the JT trade, while aggravating now, and a shade too high then, was due to 2 DE's going down on the same day, and Bill Parcells smelling blood. Again they are learning, just slowly. Next lesson-special teams.

Special Teams lesson 1. Never waste a draft pick on a punter or kicker.

Lesson 2: If a Punt Returner tells you that he can return a punt 20+ yards every time, make sure you clarify you want him to run towards the other teams end zone!

Special Teams Lesson 1(a)

And if you do, be damn sure he can play (See, Lohmiller, Chip).

Re: Om Field: Redskins Feeling a Cold Draft

the skins need to invest in a TRUE LB, no hybrids.
we need a guy that can get out in the flats and
zone protect as well as get into man to man coverage.
VC is always coming up with crazy stuff.... there is
no way that JT could fill that need.
