Re: Day 3 NFL Draft 2016 Rounds 4-7
Trading for extra picks isn't instant gratification so its harder to appreciate, but it will be awesome next year on Saturday when we have 2 4th and 2 6th rounders. I believe we only have 1 5th rounder because we used 1 on getting Carrier.

I thought they traded a 6th for carrier?

Both places I've seen said a 5th.

Re: Day 3 NFL Draft 2016 Rounds 4-7
Looking back trading for Carrier was not a good move at all. There had to be a guy on the street that could have come in and played just as good as he did.

Well looking back after the fact you can say this. However, I'm sure Scot thought of acquiring a player he knew, as opposed to just a "guy off the street."

Agree with Rush, Cooley was basically begging Snyder and Allen to be signed and they passed. I don't think there were many options at the time.

Yeah he filled an immediate need at the moment and you cant sign a guy "off the street". Its not like there are serviceable tight ends just walkin around ready to suit up. |

Also, remember, we weren't the only scrounging for TE's last year. Baltimore lost their top two TE's as well (I think they lost a third at some point).

This year we shouldn't be looking for bodies - Davis, Reed, Carrier, Paulsen, Paul. Someone is gone. Carrier or Paulsen?

My other thought is Paulsen move to more of the FB/TE position to open holes.
