Not very high on this option.
Probably expensive.
Not a huge fan of 1 year prove it deal. Cause yeah if he plays like Pryor you're happy you didn't commit but you had a pretty expensive bad player for one year. And if he plays like Brown you wish you had signed him long term...

At this point I'd rather sign our guys and a WR. And draft DT, RB, LG and Bpa Def.

If a guy commits to the team on and off the field, practice and game day I have no problem paying him. If he is a complete player.

If Brown could cover on pass plays or was quarterbacking the defense I would say pay him top 3.

I agree.
But I feel like it's another point against 1 year prove it deals: now we wish Brown was staying, but not at 10M+/y.
Last year he would have gladly signed a 5 year 30M contract.

Re: Redskins 2018 Off Season Re/Signings

Virgil Tibbs had a crystal ball from last year!

I am always for adding legit talent to the front 7.

I also like the idea of paying more to get more especially on shorter deals.

The laundry list of JAGs (just a guy): Pae, Hatcher, McGhee, Mclain, Bowen, Cofield, Hood, Taylor.

Eric Shaffer has been awesome with cap management. Let's get some talent.

He has been solid and above average and shown constant improvement (hope it wasn't PED related). I really like him.

I agree.

He doesn't wow anybody watching but he's a solid rotational player.

I'd pass on Wilkerson and Sign Honey badger.

I’d love Mathieu, dude is just a baller, going after him is a no brainer if he becomes available

Him with DJ and Norman in the secondary? That could make us a scary D

The secondary and the D overall would be significantly improved with him no doubt

This tampering period is such a tease. I got blue balls having to wait at least 2 more days to sign our new Skins.

This is the first time in a while I’m hoping we’re aggressive. If the concern with keeping Kirk was we wouldn’t have money to build around him then then dammit we better use that money we saved, especially when your new QB is 34 and ready to win now.
