Re: Birds Post game

This team looks completely different with Smith running the show. I actually didn’t go into cardiac arrest at any point during the game with Smith QBing even backed up within our 10.

The AP/CT two headed dragon looks like it’s going to work out just fine.

Secondary looked solid all night.

Re: Birds Post game

The difference with Smith at QB was the - should have been a safety - play. Heads up play. Made a bad situation manageable. So glad he is here.

Wasn’t even a ball game, still not sure why some were so down on the Skins coming in. The Cards fucking suck.

It’s a national crime that Bradford gets 20 million for 2018.

Re: Birds Post game

I've always complaint about this team's inability to score early. Going up 21-0 early was HUGE and it is something we were never able to accomplish previously. Doing this basically neutralized David Johnson. I think we made an upgrade at the QB position and we have a veteran leader that should be able to put the team in position to win in many games.

The D was huge, and I hope they can keep it up.

I would have to say that the only thing we were missing today was more production from the wr's. I think more of that will hopefully come. No complaints at all when you win on the road. Love the way Gruden called the game where he stayed w/ the run and fed AP and CP.

Birds Post game

If not for the defensive holding Smith hits Richardson in stride on a beautiful long ball. That was good to see. AP looked like he had something to prove and please lord let CT and Reed stay healthy. CT is such a weapon. D was awesome. So weird to see us shut down a running back let alone a good one.

Re: Birds Post game

Negatives = got none

Positives = 1-0 not 0-1

Superlatives = We needed Alex Smith. Peterson looked like All Day and Night. Chris Thompson is easily my favorite NFL player. Defense played lights out. Cowboys and Giants lost. And Hail to the Fucking Redskins.

Re: Birds Post game

Negatives
- no pass rush
- no play from WRs (our two leading receivers were RBs)
- too many dumb penalties
- Apke injury (saved a TD on teams)

Positives
- everything else - Run D and secondary were awesome, AS is steady and inspires confidence, CT and AP looked unstoppable, and the O line was stout

My game ball would go to Quinton Dunbar - outstanding all around game and he knew he’d be targeted. Shows he absolutely belongs starting opposite JNo. Amazing for a former WR.

According to PFF we were one of the best teams rushing the passer on Sunday. Mainly because ARI ran a bunch of 3 step drops which makes it difficult to gain a real rush.

Also, D-Hall said it best before the game. Why pay a WR millions of dollars to match up vs another DB who makes million? When you can have a RB/TE combo that makes nightmarish match ups to LB/S. Doctson was never going to beat Peterson.

PFF is right. And it was our pass rush that caused the Cardinals to choose to run nothing but three step drops.
