Re: Skins-Giants: Game ball time!

You HAVE to go Santana Moss in this situation. This guy has single handedly put us in position to, or won us a number of games this year, and this one is no different. He blew this game wide open.

I would have to say Renaldo Wynn for blocking the field goal. If the Giants made that field goal, it would have been a 4 point game with the momentum swinging towards the Giants.

Re: Skins-Giants: Game ball time!

I went with the very popular "other" vote. As I do agree that Moss had a big game for us, but it may have never have happened if Ray "the old man" Brown had not steped up and fill in as good as he did for Thomas. Had Thomas ben healthy and playing then Moss would have got my vote. Like I said Moss was great, but look at the quality of the guy trying to "defend", if you call it that, Moss. Where as Brown had to pass and run block against 2 pro-bowlers, Strahan, Uminorwhoever.

Re: Skins-Giants: Game ball time!

wow. I've never seen anyone dominate this poll like Santana. 83 percent of the vote.
I feel insulted though, because you didn't even consider SuperSkin. Without his superior dancing skills we never would've won. Remember, it's all in the hips.

Re: Skins-Giants: Game ball time!

I voted for Moss but game balls have to go to Portis, O line, and Ramsey for doing a great job filling in for Brunell. When Brunell went down and Ramsey came in I got very nervous and after about a quarter with Ramsey in I forgot he was even playing. He may not of had a lights out game but did play very solid coming off the bench. I'm so glad we hung on to him and he may have increased his trade value if he is gone after this year.

Re: Skins-Giants: Game ball time!

both the o line and the d line for superior play and coming together at the right time.also,no one in the nfl should be guaranteed a job on the basis if they can hold for the kicker.thats the most assnine statement ever made.you could teach a monkey to do it and pay him alot less

I remember a monkey that had a problem holding a ball that cost us a playoff game. I agree that you can teach someone to hold for a kicker but it's the person who has done it game after game that will react on instinct more when they get a bad snap and will get the ball down and not panic.

firstdown,so you think someone should hold a roster spot strictly for the ability to hold for the kicker?i think the eagles thought this way also until detmer actually had to play.

Re: Skins-Giants: Game ball time!

Moss gets it if anyone does.

I know this has nothing to do with the game, but has anyone checked out his yearly stats? He's #2 in yards (-32 to steve smith) #3 in TD's and # 2 in YPC. Better than the following:

1. Randy Moss
2. Chad Johnson
3. Hines Ward
4. Andre Johnson
5. Laverneus Coles
6. Marvin Harrison
7. Plaxico Burress
8. Keyshawn Johnson
9. Keenan McCardell
10. Terrell Owens (hahahaha)

Just think about that for a minute.... let it really soak in.

I think its awesome that its moss and steve smith at the top of the board leading the league right now... they're very similar in the way they play and they're electrifying to watch, on top of that they're team guys.

Re: Skins-Giants: Game ball time!

I voted for Moss it was a no brainer cause every catch he had to work for. But you gotta give it up to the offensive line. Brunnel could have lounge chair back there. And without that line blocking the they are portis wouldnt have come alive the way he has. Am I the only one that saw Big Dockery down field with Moss on that screen ---chuggin boy. Bein a former o-lineman i love to see that kind of stuff.
