Re: Draft grades
That dance right there, just sums up the state of the O-line last year. When I first saw it, I though it was photoshopped. Pathetic.

Re: Draft grades
Same. The first time I saw it I thought there is no way this actually happened.

My approach towards anyone is based on what ive seen. Saw only one game from Howell but a lot of his college play. I have never seen this new oline play together, nobody has, so i have no approach. I definitely think we improve on both sides of the ball, mainly because it won’t take much to improve especially on O. I’ve fallen into this trap for years though. If last year’s team can win 7 or 8 or 9 than this year’s team can win 10, 11, or 12! Lol. And every year I believe it. I really am a glass half full guy, but being a glass half empty guy is almost always a safer bet with this team, and im sick of the excuses- schedule, injuries, new scheme, snyder, etc etc etc. We are perpetual losers at this point and there are plenty of examples of games that we should have won that have nothing to do with the tired excuses. Snyder being gone is a huuuuuge plus though. Im just going to wait for W’s before i see the glass differently. It is too painful to get my hopes up again for no reason! |

This is the one guy I really, really liked going into the season. Between the tackles, downhill, no bull s _ _ _ running style. Love it, love it.” “I don’t know it for a fact, but there may be some issues. I gave him a second-round grade, I think he is an every-down running back starter. He brings the toughness, the no-nonsense.” “But the one thing that really bothered me was the fact that he backed out of the bowl game. I don’t think that is his character. Now, if it is, then he is not the guy I thought he was. But if not, then I think (the pick) is a steal. He is made for the NFL.”

Excited for Forbes to lead us in interceptions.

Re: Draft grades
I mean, it's not 2003 where corners were expected to manhandle WRs all the way through the route. I get the tackling concerns, but the better he is in coverage, the less that matters. Time will tell, but I'm good with the pick, and the film (versus non-NFL players, obviously) looked pretty good overall.

Re: Draft grades
Oh, I don't think you should be so judgmental about it. On the positive side, I think the G was showing good technique on the play by keeping his hands inside while blocking his own teammate.

Re: Draft grades
I know it is early but in April we were all upset we passed on Gonzalez and it looks like as usual we amateur fans were right and the professionals at the Redskins were wrong. So far Gonzalez has been a star and Forbes has been - well not a star. Question at what point should the team bench Forbes? Forbes has been targeted 25 times and allowed 18 catches for a league-high 356 yards.

Re: Draft grades
Is that not suggesting his issue is with the deep routes, near 20 ypc? Or is it that there are a few real big plays skewing the average? Is he trying to get picks/big plays at the expense of shutting his man down?

Re: Draft grades
Let Forbes keep playing, he won't get better on the bench. He's going to improve, just a matter of time.
