Re: Democratic Primary Push for White House

People keep talking about changing the country and how major functions within the economy, government, etc should be change.

I think how we elect the president should definitely be changed. I’m not talking about the electoral college either. This wasteful song and dance is tiring, insignificant too a point and extremely wasteful of money.it’s a clown show for the gop as well as the dems. No question

The reason why it becomes a clown show is the candidates are fighting to get votes from people that have next to no understanding of how the government works and simple economics. Both sides have people that aren't the brightest tools in the shed voting for them and those people are easily influenced.

I know a lot of things can be staged these days, but some of the street interviews about subjects related to politics can produce some pretty shocking results. One of my favorite were a handful of people waiting in line for housing vouchers who thought Obama was spending his own money on them. Another interesting one is the answer when asked how much the President of the USA makes, a lot of people think he makes what a CEO of a Fortune 500 company does.

I think there should be a basic test to qualify for the right to vote, then you won't have candidates promising boat loads of free crap without explaining a feasible way to pay for it, or making pie in the sky promises you know they can't keep.

A huge problem is the bureacracies of the government and two parties are so entrenched the needed reforms can't really happen

Beto aka Beta is out. I thought he may have some good ideas...but his positions turned to comedy. So is the strategy to sound more crazy than the next person among the field?

Gun confiscation?

Bye bye beta...the guy who married rich into privilege. What a cunt

Maybe beta should actually look at the facts, here is George Mason economics Professor Walter Williams:

https://www.dailywire.com/news/willi...-misleading-us

He throws in a nugget about for all the Venezuelan socialists apologists:

“Venezuela dictator Nicolas Maduro banned private gun ownership in 2012. The result is that Venezuelans had no way to protect themselves from criminals and government troops who preyed upon them. After Fidel Castro’s demand for gun confiscation, he said, “Armas para que?” (“Guns, for what?”) Cubans later found out.

Bigly: “When Beto quit like … he quit like a dog”

I agree . IMHO.............. when it comes to the Presidency there should be no party votes. I mean everyone should have a say in who the Candates are.just not Dems or Reb's. Open all primary;s to all voters and let the best person be elected .Not saying for all elections but just the Presidency.

Will nobody take the bait?

Fine, I will.

I would like to see all guns banned. In a perfect world of rainbows and daises we'd all love one another, and guns would only shoot flower pedals. Banning guns brings us one step closer to that reality!

You got me Chico.

Tongue in cheek, but he has certainly exhibited Marxist views in the past, been and proudly but certainly Bernie Sanders has as well and even more so than Corbyn...In fact Bernie has coddled and embraced communist regimes.

But yeah that was a garbage showing last by Corbyn and believe me the message was loud and clear to the Dems

Re: Democratic Primary Push for White House

Maybe now they can finally move on with Brexit and get a trade deal in place. Dragging this out has been bad for the British economy.

agree, get it over with. Most companies have already made plans or completed structural and regulatory changes who do business in the UK...most prepared for a "hard Brexit".

Now this becomes another bigly opportunity for the US trade-wise as well. We can be more competitive than the EU...bet on it.

I feel like it's going to happen without a deal in place. We'll make a deal with them for sure but they're still going to suffer hard losses from losing business with the rest of the EU.
