Re: Skins trade for Kyle Allen
DH will eventually be our STARTING QB for years to come. We need to have his back during this process there's nothing wrong with competition but we as a fan base always want the new shiny thing. We don't like to develop anything.

Re: Skins trade for Kyle Allen
I mean, I don't think it's out of the question. Sure DH has the inside track to the starting QB position, but if there is a limited offseason (or no offseason), I don't think it's out of the question for RR to start the season with the QB he is most familiar with, and who knows and has played in the system. I do hope DH is putting in the necessary work, study, etc. as best he can given the current situation...I'd rather him be the starter from day 1.

Re: Skins trade for Kyle Allen
The way Haskins reacts to being the backup would be telling and maybe that is the idea from RR, maybe he wants to find out what sort of Pro he is

Re: Skins trade for Kyle Allen
Didn't he want to become part of the FO? Maybe he's a little bitter

Re: Skins trade for Kyle Allen
Well I'll say this, Haskins BETTER be working his ass off and doing everything possible to learn as much of this offense as he can right now, because Allen is walking through the door day 1 of whenever they can get going knowing this offense inside and out and already has a good relationship with the OC and RR. RR doesn't owe Haskins anything, and he and Turner are gonna start whoever they feel gives them the best chance to win on week 1, not who they think the long term solution should be.

Re: Skins trade for Kyle Allen
Serious question. Has anybody, heard anything, from any reputable source, that Dwayne Haskins is doing anything less than working his ass off this offseason? I literally have heard or read nothing that indicates Haskins is sitting on his ass so far in 2020.

I’ve only heard that he’s putting in the work on and off the field and has been watching Panthers film. But people would rather believe the opposite it seems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Skins trade for Kyle Allen
No one has reported that to my knowledge. Look I want and hope DH is the starter here for MANY years to come, but we all heard that he didn't come in last year "working his ass off" is what I was referring to, so I'm just hoping he is this offseason.

I'm routing for DH. If he's putting in the work, the coaches are satisfied with his progress, and they think he gives them an equal to or better chance to win, then he'll probably get the nod. |
