Exactly. Thank you. I'm not stupid, I know a win is going to be very very difficult. And I'm not ignorant to the limitations this team has. Just as I'd like to think everyone who is negative all the time here isn't ignorant to the positives.

But silly me, I thought maybe on a Redskins fan site we could get some positive vibes going on in support of our team.

Ok, I'll step up and take the bet Matt and or Smoot. Id like to add something though, if the Skins lose, the Kool Aid avatars go away, and your avatars change to "Fire Gibbs" for 2 weeks. If they win, then I'll use the kool aid avatar for 2 weeks after I come back from my banishment. What do ya think? I really really want them to win, but I just don't see it happening.

No, they go away for 2 weeks and are temporarily replaced with "Fire Gibbs". After 2 weeks they would come back.

Do we even have a Fire Gibbs avatar anyway?

It would take 2 seconds to create, and it would only say "Fire Gibbs".

Re: Pourin' Some Kool-Aid for My Homeys, Redskins Will Beat Dallas

Here's my Koolaid thinking (actually, it's not koolaid, it's just an optimist's outlook):

1. Dallas this week is NOT a must win. We'll be in the hunt without this one.

2. There are winnable games left on the schedule (note: we have to actually win them! I know, I know, we suck, fire gibbs blah, blah, blah...): Buffalo, Minn, Chi, TB (tough one): that's 9 wins, without Dallas or NY.

3. Dallas may not need week 16--plus, it's in DC and we may need it as a "win or go home" game. Hence, that is a winnable one, and if we're in that position, we've got some momentum. So, we can beat Dallas at HOME to go 10-6, or 9-7.

4. On the road in NYC is tough, but god, we owe those bastards, and I'm not sold on them. A possible win, if we don't get TB or one of the others.

5. Put it all together, and things are hardly lost here, folks. What makes this koolaid, I guess, is the crazy idea that we can beat Buffalo and Chicago at home, Minn on the road, and Tampa or NY on the road. Then at home for Dallas, with Randy Thomas back. You might say it's koolaid to think we can beat ANYONE now. I say that's the post-loss depression talking. I say get your negative heads out of the dark recesses of your own complaining asses, and have a little hope!!!! (And here, to help you out, have a sip of this sweet fruit-like punch, with no more than 10% real fruit juice....)

I'll stick with the parrot avatar. And change my sig to "I should have listened to PaulSkinsfan"

Good post. That stretch against the Bills, Bears, Vikings, Bucs is probably more important but a win against the Cowboys would be huge for morale.

This isn't about drinking kool-aid you rat poison guzzler . This is about

-Some damn positivity on a Redskins fan site
-Records out the window when these two teams play each other (Remember 1991?)
-Portis' proving (to the morons who doubted) that his big game against the Jets was no fluke.
-Campbell gaining confidence in himself
-The team gaining confidence in Campbell

It just baffles me how so many people are so sure all the time that the Redskins will lose. Were you sure Manning would throw 6 Ints yesterday? Were you sure the Saints' sudden hot streak would end at the hands of the 0-8 Rams? If you were more power to you.

It won't be easy. No one said it would be. The Cowboys are a very strong team. I just hope the team doesn't have the same quit in them its "harcore fans" do.
Look who we came back against. The 1-8 Jets with the worst defense in the NFL?? It shouldn't have come down to us having to come back against them. We almost lost to Arizona with a one armed QB. We had to go to overtime to beat a winless Miami team. Sorry but it's hard to jump on any bandwagon when this stuff happens.

N.O. does not have a good defense. Even last year they did not have a good defense. Rams are a different team when jackosn is on the field. Plus they have very good skill players.

I don't have quit in me. The injuries are killing us right now. Even if we are healthy Dallas is probably better. I'm just keeping it real and I'm not living in some fantasy world.

Pass the rat poison please.

Ok. Now with Matt's bet, I had to stay away for 1 week. Now, if you do the signature thing, I'll stay away for an additional week, a total of 2. So, in a nutshell:

Paulskinsfan wins: Smootsmack changes his avatar and signatue line. Mattyk doesn't post for 1 week.

Smootsmack & Matt win: Paulskinsfan doesn't post for 2 weeks.

Is that accurate?

Well, as I mentioned earlier, look at two of the teams we blew leads against (Packers and Giants).

If it had been the Redskins that lost to the 0-8 Rams yesterday don't even tell me you would say "Well they're a different team with Jackson in there." There's no way you would. You would have said "Look at these poorly coached players losing to an 0-8 team."

I can't speak for Matty's part of the bet.

As for me, if you win it's parrot avatar and new sig for me. If I win it's two weeks off for you. This doesn't include Matty's one week. So it would be a total of three weeks. Unless Matty agrees to merge our bets.

With next week being Thanksgiving week, who knows how much you were going to post anyway or how much I'm going to be on the site. I want two solid weeks.

Way to man up and take the bet by the way. I disagree with you on just about everything, but I admire your conviction. I suppose ultimately we want the same thing for the Redskins, we just have extremely different attitudes about them.

I'd be mad as hell but I know that STL has Holt, Jackson and Bulger. They tore our defense a new ass last year. So I know what they are capable of.

I don't think we are poorly coached on defense, just on offense.
