The fanbase was subjected to such extreme clownish and idiotic behavior from Redskins management for such an extended period of time that invariably many smart and loyal fans became stupefied without even knowing it.

Re: Offseason Shopping

I'd take Champ Bailey back...at the right price. I think the comparison to him and Charles Woodson is plausible. Would be an upgrade over Los and might cost virtually the same.

Re: Offseason Shopping

Dmek, he was traded because the management chose to pay Lavar Arrington over Bailey. If we would have paid him top dollar he would of stayed here. He didn't leave because of free will, he was traded.

I think you are undervaluing talent if you think he has slipped that far.

^^ I think he wanted out and, unless we payed him double his free market value, he was not coming back. Yeah, we traded him but only 'cause if we didn't we going to get nothing for him.

Can we trade CP and get both Champ and a 2nd rounder?

Giving Peterson more room to run can only be a good thing, at least from Minnesota's perspective.
And then maybe...just maybe, we can have JC back as our starter

Not happening. What Shanahan says about personnel is law. He is the team president. (snickers at the one fool on this board who thinks Shanahan takes a laissez-faire attitude towards snatching his guys)

Nice tie in to economic principles! I wonder if they have a Shanny 10 Drafting Commandments in his office or the war room during the draft.

He was traded because when Joe Gibbs got here he asked who all wanted to go. Champ said that he'd rather leave because he got tired of the changes. He could've gotten his money here, but he was ready to leave which worked out because this team needed a running back at the time. So believe me it was because of free will, the team just gave him what he wanted and that was a change of scenery.

Possible - - but highly unlikely. Bailey's exit from Washington was "less than cordial" on both sides of the table.

Indeed, he will be "cheaper than Nnamdi"; but I think he will be elsewhere...

I think it also depends on how much of a need the Skins have for him. If they get Los and D Hall back next year they won't need him that badly. IF Los walks and they need another CB, maybe they pursue him a little harder and offer him a nice deal he would be less likely to pass up?!

I hated the day we traded CHAMP
