Merriweather and Garcon are both active. Even with that hard for me to find much desire to watch the game. I wish I felt some hope but honestly nothing about this week makes me.see good tbings happening.

we better get a win today. at home, rookie QB 1st start, playing a team in a spiral, coming off a bye. Not gonna be pretty for Shanny if he finds a way to lose this one

Well.....ok, but you realize it will severely limit the value of your participation in a Gameday thread.....

"Redskins try to vanquish the Andy Reid era, take 8."

Really, this may be the worst team the Redskins have played this year. So if they can't get it done today, there won't be an opponent they should handle the rest of the way.

I do think Foles gives the Eagles more ability in the passing game than Vick did. But as always, it's Celek and McCoy that are going to wear down the Redskins.

This boys is the kind of game that separates the bad teams from the shitty teams.

Re: The day of resurrection!!! Skins/eagles game day thread

I'd like to believe in the resurgent Redskins. The key question in my mind iis whether or not Mike Shanahan has the leadership qualities to inspire the Redskins to play better. In that sense, I think that today's game is as big a test for Shanahan as it is for Reid.

I want to see the Redskins play today with a fiery determination to dominate and win. If the players can't find that within themselves today, then I'll be at the point of writing off Shanahan as the leader of this team.

Also, no team needs to have all, or any, of it's starters to play hard. I'm tired of that excuse. Bear in mind that the Eagles are missing as many starters as we are and that we have the advantage of the home field and a superior QB. We should win this game.

Re: The day of resurrection!!! Skins/eagles game day thread

The bigger problem with this game is that in a matchup between RG3 and Foles, it shouldn't be close. We gave up more for Griffin than any player in the history of ever and Foles sat until the third round. Griffin should have higher expectations.

In reality though, aren't we kind of expecting this game to be decided by one score one way or the other? I think the Shanahan Redskins NEED a blowout here if for no other reason than to tell the world "look, we're on the right track, they aren't."

If Andy Reid is in fact at the end of the line in Philly as it appears, and Jason Garrett was able to pull away last week, Shanahan has to at least match the Cowboys performance, right?

True. This game should be a war. It is definitely a gut check for both teams.
