Very sad -- just saw an ESPN article that says he passed away. https://www.espn.com/college-footbal...rennan-dead-37

Just terrible news. Addiction is so hard to deal with for so many families. Prayers for Colt and his family

Re: RIP Colt Brennan

It's always sad to see someone as young as Colt was to fight demons his whole life and eventually lose out to those demons. Thoughts and prayers to Colt and his family.

Re: RIP Colt Brennan

Wow. So sad. I had no idea about the car accident in 2010. Sounds like that was the beginning of his slide. His father said he was never the same after the accident. Traumatic head injury. Jeez. Life is so fragile. RIP Colt.

Never want to see someone go like that.
Strangely similar to George Floyd.

Re: RIP Colt Brennan

Not knowing much detail, but reading between the lines, it looks like the accident lead to much of his substance abuse problems. He said since the accident he didn't feel like the same person. Can't help wondering if his issues were a combination of opiate prescription and/or lack of psychological help after the event?

Over here Dr's are VERY reticent to prescribe opiate pain killer meds. Our perception is its a big problem in the US because your Dr's don't share that reticence (big pharma pressure?).

80% of world's opium comes from Afghanistan. About 6 months after we invaded boots down, America was FLOODED with it, including high schools where it traditionally wasn't huge, at very low prices. Non-US media have thoroughly documented our intelligence agencies complicity in world opium trade. I don't politic much on these boards, but one example of someone with first hand knowledge:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...crop-time.html

Obviously, Britain and U.S. are peas in a pod foreign policy wise. Over here, it is all WOKE, baby. Pop a pill, blame someone else, no one is responsible for their own actions. Big pharma, corporations, etc., own and rule this country with an iron fist.

That being said, you never want to see someone so young who was generally a class act end like this, and taking pills for brain injury different sport than garden variety addiction (i.e. weakness). . . Life is short, make the most of every second. . .
