Dumb. Just plain old dumb. Not worth the money at all. If we were going to pay that amount to a safety then I would have rather paid it to Mathieu. He is probably much more of a complete player and has better open field skills to cover TE's. Our front office seriously has the biggest hard on for Bama players that I have ever seen.

While I like Collins in general, I would very much prefer for Redskins to use that money on Mathieu as well for the reason you mentioned..

I suppose we can switch our name to Washington Crimson Tide now?

At this point, I wonder if it a strategy...Nick Saban is a defensive coach...he lets guys come in and manage the offense which tends to be a run first, run second, and play action big pass play.

A defense with so many Alabama players, is the end game Saban after Jay?

He said it best too, he already tried it once and embarrassed himself.

It doesn't work much period, in the NFL. Only in NE and that is largely due to Brady being Brady. If they had any other QB , that offense would not be as good.

Its not going to happen for a bunch of reasons. If Saban wants another shot in the NFL he'll have much better options than here.

Unless Snyder throws an insane amount of money his way and gives him total autonomy which seems highly unlikely.

I think Gregg Williams would be the favorite to be the next head coach here.

Total speculation, totally my opinion but I think there was something to the meeting he and Dan had this off-season.

I thought Cleveland would have kept him!
