Levis also threw the ball 70 times less this year than last. His average per pass was higher this year (8.5) than last (8.0).

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
I agree. He's like Wentz in that he looks like a prototypical QB, and makes some plays that look great, but the non-great plays are no good.
If Howell didn't go back to school for 1 more year, he would have went in the 1st round EASILY. And his numbers from that last year were still good, even with losing guys. Howell will have a better pro career than Levis imo.

I haven't seen anything from Jordan Love that makes me want him to come here.

I'd have him and Howell compete, stay with young guys that can actully grow with the organization. Stop getting old dudes

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
Assuming Ron survives while ownership is in flux, shouldn't Dan make him trade all 2023 picks for 2024 picks? And prevent him from signing any big contracts? In likelihood this team will have a new name, mascot, GM, coach, and QB in 2024. And a new stadium in 2028.
Tell Ron to make do with Heinicke and Howell. Make him figure the rest out with short term contracts. Keep the staff since they are all gonna be packing in 2024. Sell the next owners (and fans) on the idea they have a lot of resources available from 2024 on to improve the team immediately. |

They will do that because it limits how much money Snyder has to pay out of his own pocket. He doesn't care about anything else. It will be Heinicki and Howell next year with our lame duck coach. Hopefully the owner can come in and at least extend Payne. Next year is another shit show. Best we can hope for is a new owner and that is fine with me. When/If the team is sold, we should all meet in Vegas to celebrate. |

Taylor's an unrestricted FA this offseason. He probably won't be back...which is fine.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
I'm not interested in trading anything for a Veteran QB - Jordan Love included.
Pick up a Veteran FA QB, and draft a rookie. Howell/Veteran/Rookie |

Fire Snyder. Get new owner. Fire coach/GM/scouting. Get new GM. Get new coach. Get new scouting.

Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
I haven’t watched tape on him yet but I plan on it this off season.
Arm talent jumps out at you. The ball flies out of his hand. Kentucky also played some legit teams and it’s Kentucky… Also remember, most said Herbert was overrated too. It’s very hard to judge College QBs to NfL success Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
