Re: Punch's Post-Game Thread

Turner did a good job today, he used a ton of motion, Terry was open on 2 throws and 1 for a TD.. The OL played their best game, the RBs fight for every yard.. Inman ran good routes today as well, his 2nd TD was a Dime by Haskins...

2 real good throws today

7-8 real bad ones

I want to see more Isiah Wright and AGG, I like what I saw. They are providing Haskins with more weapons to help him out, I want to also see Cam Sims being used as a WR.

Wright looked good, as did the OL for the most part.. Encouraging

It will be 48-9 and only because they take their foot off the gas. They crushed the team that just hung 34 points on us.

Three games into the season, and they are in 1st place...Glass half full for me. LOTS to improve on, but this division is garbage...and they could easily win it.

Haskins' mechanics or lack will be the death of him if he doesn't clean it up. The staring down of receivers can be taken care of or lessened, but the shoddy mechanics could be something which is tougher to clear up or minimize.

I'm definitely pulling for Haskins, but I'm sort of wary at the moment.

Another year of suck.

I believe the NFC East is gonna suck, so let's play to win. Rivera basically "quitting" the last two weeks doesn't sit well with me. If they're attempting to concede the season, then say so and save many of us the time.

Haskins is terrible, if it isn't obvious. All the progress he made at the end of last year has been wiped out. He just looks uncomfortable, like he's trying to learn how to play qb for the first time. Trying to do too much. The staring down guys thing - idk how it became an issue this week but if he keeps that up his leash will disappear.

At the same time we have to give him at least half the year if not the entire year to at least try and show some progress. If Allen was the answer, we wouldn't even have to ask this question. Rivera knows what he has in Allen.

Rivera - I just feel like he's treating these first 4 games like preseason since we didn't have one. It's why he keeps swapping out young guys and not calling timeouts at the end of the game. He already knows the weak spots on this team and I feel like he's just looking for progress. If he's still giving up when we're down by 11 in the second half of the season then I'll be seriously concerned. But for now I feel he's using these games to get a feel for the team. Or maybe the cancer treatments are affecting his judgement? Not sure but he absolutely has a long leash, certainly longer than Haskins. You guys giving up on him 3 games in are taking the easy route.
Agreed. I think Haskins can improve but I'm beginning to think he just won't. Beginning to remind me to much of Ramsey.

But we're not the worst. Falcons don't want to win, Eagles and Giants don't know how to, Dallas can't decide. This season is becoming a 16 game preseason for next year now, for us and a few more out there.

Collins is pure trash. You can bench him too.

Re: Punch's Post-Game Thread

Ron isn't worried about wins. He has already shown that the last two weeks. He said he is " developing his team." Idk.. I think it shows a loser mentality. Look at yesterday. The Bears came back. The Rams were down 28-3 and should have won their game if not for a tricky tack call on 4th down. I thought Ron was better than this.

Re: Punch's Post-Game Thread

The worst thing about this game is we had the lead entering the 4th quarter.

Despite 4 (statistically 5 but the fumble at the end of the second half doesn't count IMO) turnovers we should have had a chance in this game.

That makes not calling TO even worst. Having a shot while losing the turnovers battle 4-0 is rare.

I'm 100% behind Ron except for the misguided throwing in the towel mentality he has shown in the past two games. I don't think it's good for anybody. If he were to do that at home with fans in the stands I believe he would be loudly booed.

If this continues I think it could become a competition issue for the league. If Ron were to run up the white flag late in the season when playing a team that was in a tight race for a playoff spot, the other team(s) in that race would probably scream bloody murder. But a win or loss counts as much now as it does late in the season. The somnolent league office might just wake up soon and do something about it.

This is an issue for the team owner to address with Ron, IMO. This is bad policy and it should be stopped immediately.

Idk Dallas may have the same record but lost two close games to two very good teams. They are a ten win team no doubt. We are going to be lucky to win 5. I don’t think we have a chance in hell to win it....
