Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke

How about we just get a guy in here that looks like Tom Brady and can play QB like him.

31 teams are actively trying to do that

And they will be reaches - by definition a reach is a waste of draft capital. You can take the best QB in the 1st but the likely result is you will be looking to take another QB in the 1st in 2023 or 2024.

Its great that WFT has won two in a row with Heinicke at QB. Unfortunately all this does is give the false impression that Heinicke somehow has a future as WFT's starter.

It's not impossible - Kirk's first season as starter he started terrible as well until it clicked in the Tampa Bay game and we came back to win from 27-3 down.

Not saying the same thing will happen with Taylor but if he keeps this momentum going there's no reason we can't look at him as the starter for next year (I'd still draft a qb though).

Heinicke looks like 2021 Nick Foles. Comes in for the injured starter and plays well but by the next season he's nowhere. Heinicke is fools gold.

Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke

While I think this team has what it takes to make a run, every week I am anticipating a bad game by TH. Part of it is him, and the other part of it just comes from being a Redskins fan for so long. I think the key is going to be whether this defense can continue to improve so TH doesn't feel like he has to do too much. He's played pretty well the last couple games. I hope he can continue that. If he does, and the defense keeps getting better, this team is definitely in the mix in the NFC.

Maybe. Definitely maybe. But Foles had more than ten games under his belt at the time. Imo jury is still out on Heinekes long term, or lack of long term success.

10 games and very little stability in his receiving corps. Seems like he is developing a good relationships with the receiving group and that has helped him get better too.

Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke

It would not have mattered who was at QB the first part of season .. the D was so bad No QB could overcome that .. it’s funny the D played better so did the Offense.. The jury is still out on TH who knows how this will play out .. everybody was saying Hurts sucked for philly … hmmm , everyone thinks Jones is a bum for Giants .. Cam played okay and the team lost .. I’d take Taylor over all of them plus no more talk of trubisky or such nonsense as that .. The Draft class is weak at QB so let’s not reach and waste a pick .. Mac Jones would easily be the number one QB this year and we made no attempt to get him .. My hope is Taylor continues to play well and we don’t have to reach ..

He plays a couple good games and all the other bad games are forgotten..lol. I'm rooting for him, at least he is fun to watch.
