While i agree with you, the reality is that Jay is the absolute best coach we will ever have under Bruce Allen. No truly great coach would be willing to put up with him.

If only we could limit Gruden to the first half and then let someone (anyone) take over the second half.

Gruden has a 4th and 1 - Tries to draw them offsides then puts his tail between his legs and punts

Pederson has a 4th and 1 - Runs a QB sneak and gets the 1st down

Gruden - Wimpy Wimperson

Just another example of why the team is always soft.

Yep, mfer has no balls and is a players coach which reflects on the field. He's a lame duck coach that will be fired anyway.

Cuz Guice is proving so reliable. Better safe than sorry and better AP than friggin Perine or Smallwood. Jay is a moron.

You can also add his incompetent and "no adjustments" defensive coordinator.

Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?

Another point is that the Eagles are a very good team that had not played their players at all in the PS. First half they were rusty and unfocused. But DeSean told the Eagles players not to worry: the Redskins have a losing culture; a timid, below average HC who can’t win a second half - even to save his job. I liked the comment on the Gruden 4 and 1 play . If MY job was on the line I’d be going for it, even on my own 30. The Eagles ran three QB sneaks on 1 yd situations and got them all. They knew the Redskins would fold, they knew Gruden would try to protect the lead instead of doing what worked in the first half, they knew the Redskins would play undisciplined football to shoot themselves in the foot. When has Gruden had a low penalty team? When was the last time Gruden won a second half?
I thought O’Connell called a great first half. Then Gruden played his Jay-bowl second half : run on first down (minimal gain), penalty on OL, run on second down and then have a third and unbelievable passing down. If the fans can see Gruden’s predictable play calling you can be sure the Eagles DC knows how to stop it. I don’t blame Guice, the playcalling was predictable and their was NO hole. Gruden hasn’t grown or changed. I used to think we needed to draft better, but even when we do, the result is the same. It’s going to be painful to see good talent subjected to below average to poor coaching at a the HC and DC level.

Not to take away from your points, but DeSean Jackson can kiss my ass. He bitches about Washington letting him go, when he knows damn well he chased the money to Tampa Bay. He sucked in TB and never lived up to his contract. He also forgets how he was considered to be a locker room cancer when Chip Kelly got rid of him and how he rehabbed his image and career with us, which led to his deal with Tampa Bay. So fuck him and we'll see what the Iggles think about him when he misses his average 4-5 games, as he does each year.

Lost in the typical Gruden game, now 1-5 in opening games under Jay's tenure. And the 1 win was against the worst team in the NFL that year. Can't get the guys ready to play, can't get them to put teams away, and can't make any adjustments. New HC please!!

As fans we are sick of gruden/manusky. What has to happen for change? A 0-4/5 start?

Very possible they go 1-4 during the opening stretch. I see loses to Philly (already happened), Dallas, Bears, Patriots. MAYBE they beat the Giants, but that’s on the road. They could easily go 0-5

The Redskins let BOTH Garçon AND DeSean go after the 2017 season. Two 1000 yard WR out the door. It was a Bruce Allen decision not try to keep either one!! Last year we also let Crowder go. Another 1000 yd WR out the door.

Who did we keep? Doctson- who never even had a single 100 yd game ever. P. Richardson was given a big contract- yet has NEVER had a single 1000 yd season during his six years in the NFL. Last year he had just 262 yds for us. Jordan Reed, who is awesome when he plays, but never finishes a season. Last year, we were 28th in the NFL in passing. That’s what happens when you let your best WR players go.

DeSean came to Washington because Chip Kelly is an idiot. DJax was a gift from the NFL gods. He played very well, was good in the locker room, punished the Eagles every game he played them, stayed healthy, and stretched the opposite defense with his speed. Yet we let him walk.

Yesterday, DeSean he beat us two ways: FIRST - he calmed the Eagles in the locker room and told the team that the Redskins would fold in the second half - because he knew Gruden. The Eagles walked onto the field confident from Jackson’s prediction. Second: he beat us on the field.

Meanwhile, the guy we decided to hire INSTEAD of paying DJax, Paul Richardson dropped critical passes in the second half. Our supposed #1 WR and DeSean’s replacement had just 36 yds yesterday.

Don’t blame DeSean because he roasted us yesterday. He could still be playing here, if we’d paid him. And he would have been toasting the Eagles alongside McLaurin.
