Do you have a source on the "very close and personal relationship with Eli"?

No , becuase he doesn't. He was at the manning passing camp met both Eli and Peyton ...."ONCE" but he was coached by their personal QB coach.

I met Charles Mann once at the grand opening of a local hardware store when I was like 6 or 7 years old. I guess you could say that we have a very close and personal relationship.

Jones never made the claim, others did.

That is not known, nor has it been verified by anyone. Nobody wanted that bum ass qb.

The Giants got two sorry ass qbs who probably won't be in the league in the next 2 three years.

I don't know why he hasn't taken this approach. He should've just said "We believe he's among the top QB's in this draft and a great fit for this organization looking at the future. Could we have gotten him at #17? Maybe, but for us, it wasn't worth the risk. We're excited about the future of the Giants and we're excited to have Daniel Jones be a part of that."

For the record, I think the Redskins got into Gettleman's head the day of the draft and Gettleman bit hard. Haskins was the QB they wanted if they were going to take one.

Re: Would Skins Have Taken Jones?

Lets just wait and see.

I think both teams got what they wanted.

Eli is a little punk ass bitch who doesn't want to groom a QB since he thinks he has plenty in the tank but Jones is a Manning Camp guy who Eli can probably manage.

The Redskins need to focus on getting the most out of their QB and putting him in a position to win similarly to what the Rams did for their young QB.

This is false. Some in the room wanted to consider Jones as the pick if the pick was a QB but the majority of staff wanted best player available, Sweat.

This is false , Gruden wanted him, it's why the owner took over the draft room. See how that works?
