Re: Red birds pre game
I have to second that from Chico! If we play like we did on Thanksgiving we will smoke them, if we play like we have the past two games it is a toss up. Kirk does need to end the season with some solid games. I know you think I jumped the gun saying he won't get what he wants based on his past two sinker, but if he adds 2 more, it just might affect his asking price a bit since the draft is QB rich. Most of the teams in the league are in the same situation as us. They do need a good QB, but have a subpar roster. If the league does really increase the cap like I have read, there will be no problem signing Kirk if the FO really wants him or he wants us. We could sign him and get some decent players back. He just needs the tools to be effective. He is working with jack s#$@ now. And that is my whole point about being wary of signing him. If they really jack up the cap, no problem, if they don't then do you sign him knowing we still might have a subpar roster for him to work with?

My buddy is a Broncos fan, after they won, I text him Go Donkeys!
His response verbatim "Fucking up the draft." That's how I feel, winning now is harmful.

I just feel like with his physical abilities he could be a real playmaker but seems to be satisfied with being a very good player... yes he's good but we could legitimately expect better out of him. Envoyé de mon SM-J320FN en utilisant Tapatalk

I don't hate RK, he is a good player but the Shawn Michaels celebration needs to go away after every sack, and he is only good against bad Lines. That isn't saying I dont appreciate him, it's saying he really isn't effective 50% of the time. He is also bad against the run.

Re: Red birds pre game
Some stats/info from Cooley and Kevin ...
Cards are 0-4 when losing turn over battle Cards are 4-0 when scoring 20 pts or more Cards are with out both Tackles and a Guard Cards are on their 3rd string QB (Palmer, Stanton now Gabbert) and RB (Johnson, Peterson now ???) ---------------------- Put me in the "I hope we lose" camp ... im conflicted but I think Jay is decent so I feel like I have to choose a better draft position or Jay. Putting us in best position to draft the best possible Cousins replacement is most important to me.

Re: Red birds pre game
It's because he doesn't sell it like others do, and it's not the same ref crew so maybe it's really not a hold? They aren't calling it for a reason.

Re: Red birds pre game
I dunno. I mean the guy gets put in a half-nelson on almost every play. I've seen guys have him hooked around his shoulder, in front of the refs, and no flags. On the other side, one of our linemen will crop dust the rusher and out comes the yellow hanky!

This type of thinking is a pet peeve of mine. It's the recurring question of "Why Can't This Good Player be a Great Player?". It's because he has peaked as a good player, that's why. He has worked very hard but will never be a great player. He is just a good player who is available every single week and I think that's fine. |

Re: Red birds pre game
I saw a red bird perched on a tree branch when I was little. I threw a rock at it.
----------------- Kerrigan is a good player, but somewhat limited. Him always being available to dress is incredibly valuable. Worth the 13th or so draft pick he was imo.

I think you bring up a really good point: if Jay is confident he'll be here next year, and they're going to be able to sign Kirk, yeah I say sit Kirk, Trent and Moses. But I'm not sure Jay is in position to do that, he would need a lot of confidence in himself and the support the FO would give him.
