Football Cards

Was at Target and randomly bought a 50 pack of cards. It had older players too.

Got Daron Payne, Jamison Crowder, and Lavar Arrington cards for Redskins.

Got Barry Sanders, Brett Favre, and Dan Marino cards as well.

That took me back like 25 years. Use to spend any dollar I ever got on cards.

Re: Football Cards

Speak of old Football Card...I have a ton of old Redskins cards and other NFL stars that I might be willing to part with, since I could use the money to pay some bills.

If any of you are interested, PM me and we can communicate by email.

When I get a chance I might post some pictures if anyone is interested.

Most of mine are stored at my parents house. I went thru all of them a few years ago for old times sake. One day I'm going to pull the ones I want to keep and try selling the rest. Not sure what the market for cards is nowadays.

Re: Football Cards

Oh man, definitely brings me back. Good ol' middle school days of Beckett's and trading at lunch. My brother had a major hard-on for Bo Jackson so he would trade EVERYTHING he had to collect any Bo card he could find.

Re: Football Cards

I had a few Redskins cards - even recently of those like Joe Theismann, Darrell Green, John Riggins....

But the best part of those cards was chewing that rock hard chewing gum! mmmmmmm...

Awesome!

I actually have a lot of the Redskins cards that you mentioned...even though I started collecting cards in the '80's.

The reason I have a lot of older cards is that there used to be a Sports Card / Comics store near to where I lived as a child.

Re: Football Cards

Just got my son some really nice holographic Haskins and McLaurin cards off eBay. We never had cards this cool growing up.

I sold most of my childhood cards when I got married because we had no room for them in our apartment but I kept the best ones, like Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith rookie cards, plus a ton of Redskins. My son how has boxes and binders of cards, all sports, even hockey and NASCAR, taking after me.
