Washington Artistic Musings

Working from home since March has been good and bad. Its not as cool as I thought it would be as I feel as if I’m always on call and need to answer every e-mail right away so no one thinks “What the hell is he doing besides nothing working from home?”

On the other hand, in between those e-mails I can explore my creative side and I’ve done so. From paintings to making furniture and refinishing furniture for my Football Den I’ve been able to accomplish a lot. Below are the Redskins/Washington related things I’ve done to keep myself busy.

Here is a Helmet Shelf I made to consolidate my full size Redskins Helmets in order to make room for the new one:

Here is a matching coffee table to display my pocket pro helmet collection as well as some of my gumball helmets:

Here is a tissue box I made with 2" wooden helmets I designed, had laser cut from 1/8" birch and hand painted. I wanted to display the helmet history of the team starting with the feather helmet:

And a hat I made the "W" logo my self by cutting it from leather, painting it and gluing it to the hat (Couldn't find a New Era fitted in burgundy!):

Re: Washington Artistic Musings

and lastly (for now) a shelf I refinished to consolidate my mini helmets, you'll notice the side I added a panel where I decoupaged tb logos and started gluing TB wooden helmets I painted. I will be adding more as I make them:

First, Summo you have quite a space...is that a basement? It’s nice

Second, you make me feel extremely lazy

Lastly...awesome job! For some reason, most impressed with the tissue box. Probably comes in handy watching the skins for the last 20 years

Incredible stuff Summo! What a great job using your talent and time! However, seeing all that great stuff with the Indian Logo just makes me mad and mostly sad that we'll never see any of that again.

Thank you. Yes that is my finished basement. it was a prerequisite to my wife and i buying a house 23 years ago that I have a unfinished basement I could convert into my "Man cave"
