The Saints have no one to blame but themselves. But that call was garbage and the league should fire the ref for missing that. But they still have a 3 point lead and didn't stop the Rams for tying the game.

Re: NFL conference championship weekend

So both of the teams I was rooting for lost...Saints and Chiefs.

The Saints got screwed over on the Pass Interference that wasn't called.

Even though I don't like teams from California, I am begrudgingly Root for the LA Rams.

Unfortunately, however, it looks to me like the crappie Patriots are going win the Super Bowl. But one can hope.

Officiating in the NFL has been the worst ever the last 4 years. The league needs to send all the refs to some kind of camp to learn the rules, open their fucking eyes and be fair.

I thought the No call on Doc was horrible, but yesterday was by far worse.

Re: NFL conference championship weekend

I think referring issues parallels with new rules established since last few years? NFL made changes to rules that are not norm for football in old times. I confess I don't know much about referring but I can imagine the thinking process figuring out numerous rules during a play that happened within split of a second can be very challenging. Not to mention the fact that few rules are somewhat vague; great example would be the issue with defenders using their body to sack QB in beginning of this season was problematic because NFL did not make sure all referees fully understood what sack entails penalty.

Edit: Referees should not have missed the pass interference in Saints vs Rams game, I think it was pretty obvious.

The coach should be able to challenge any action on the field. Call or Non-Call. You still only get 3, and in the final 2 minutes upstairs should have the ability to correct blatant errors.

This wouldn't prolong the game, most coaches are going to save their challenges, not waste them, but why should one play be more protected than another. Answer is they shouldn't be.

This. The NFL's excuse of adding more time to games if more things are reviewable is bs. Using a coach's challenge to determine a call or non-call would help big time with these bad calls.

Also Sean Payton is on the competition committee, no way he doesn't make a huge stink about this in the offseason. I like the Rams and am happy they made it but Payton is right, that call would've put them in the Super Bowl.

I also think that each team should get the ball in OT in the playoffs. It was kind of weak sauce how that went down.

I don't, If you want the ball hold them out of the EZ..

Also College rules are insane, teams winning in 6 or 7 OT's would be too much for the NFL.

I'm 100% fine with it in the NFL in the postseason. It's still some insane stat where the team that gets the ball first wins a majority of the time.

Not only that, they're not giving it to them on the 25 yard line like in college either...

Yeah I think in the playoffs both teams should get the chance to score

Re: NFL conference championship weekend

I like the current method. TD or defensive score wins the game, if you score 3 points the other team gets a chance. Still wayyyyyyyyy better than the old system.
