Yeah, I would agree not to be worried bout too much about past injuries with Jamison. But when we look at our stable of RBs outside of Alfmo, nothing dependable which is my point. Its early, wouldnt be surprised if we give some more guys look at the position currently not on the roster.

Every RB spot besides Morris(not counting Young), should be up for grabs.

Re: Draft wrap-up 2013

I just watched highlight videos of all the skins draft picks for 2013, I came away with 5 main thoughts.

1 - Philip Thomas should start day 1.

2 - Brandon Jenkins had the most impressive athleticism and speed (for his position) out of all the picks. He could put on a few lbs, and step in for ILB, or he could be a speedy OLB. He is good enough to be very good in the NFL at both.

3 - Reed needs to put on 15 lbs, and learn how to block. He is not in the same league as Fred Davis as a pass-catcher either.

4 - Amerson needs to learn how to recover after his initial turn. His speed is not bad at all, and if he learns how to turn out of the receivers break a little faster, he should be an upgrade to either of our veteran CBs.

5 - Neither of the RB's have half the vision and toughness as Morris. Both are faster, neither can plow half as good as AM radio.

Just some things I saw..........I do hope Amerson and Thomas pan out to be solid. Just those two being solid starters would put us in a serious contender position for years with the current squad. Hail!!!!

Re: Draft wrap-up 2013

544 there aren't very many RBs in the NFL that can plow as well as Bentley does.

I think AM is a top 5 back in the NFL today, and I see this year being as productive as his rookie year. He kept getting stronger as the season wore on and as along as he doesn't get knicked up he should improve statistically. Also if he can learn to block solidly (al a CP but not quite as reckless with his body) he is the complete package.

old school bump, in case anyone wanted to read. Its a cornoavirus offseason ...

I guess my main point is, we are always optimistic and can talk ourselves into believing some 4th or 6th rounder will develop into a starter/contributor.

But in reality, we are lucky if 2 players from each draft make it to their 2nd NFL contract.

Yeah good point, if you can get 3 quality starters out of a draft you're doing really well. The day 3 guys are usually projects, long shots, and at best special teamers.

[QUOTE=skinsfaninok;1006768]Reed will be like our version of San Fran's walker was. He'll make plays all over, FB, TE, WR

Was better than Walker when healthy

I'll take "things that didn't age well" for 1000 Alex.

And a couple things I noticed, NE took Jamie Collins the pick after we took Amerson. Big F.

And Chicago took Jon Bostic with the pick just before we took Amerson. Funny how that worked out lol.

Also Travis Kelce went with the first pick in the 3rd to the Chiefs. oof.
