What is funny to me is hearing how well Tebow will be in the NFL. IMO Matt is better so I guess that means what for Tebow......?

something tells me that McDaniels' bravado won't last too long

he game in with some strong guff and will probably have a Zorn-like exit

Well, my prediction about Leinart this season is off to a shitty start.

You're right, the team wouldn't consider it, not at this point in time anyway. Plus, I don't think any team would be willing to give up a #1 for McNabb. The Eagles got [from us] the best deal they probably could have gotten despite the fact it came from within the division.

Leinart was a very good collegiate q/b, I just never saw it at the NFL level.

This doesn't surprise me. Anderson is a very talented guy and has more upside than Leinart.

DA's accuracy problems won't let him stay on the field for too long.

Yeah goes back to the old saying if you have 2 QBs, you've really got none

what kind of logic is this? we finally have an NFL caliber QB, and you want to trade him? and he would make the cards a better team, meaning a crappy low end draft pick. sometimes i wonder....

I'm looking at it completely from "we got this guy for a 2nd, now there's a complete team with a need, we can make a profit (i.e. better/more picks) standpoint. I know it's fantasyland. Unlike some others, I don't see us as a playoff team this year, and I think eventually this thing with McNabb is going to end badly. So throw sexy Rexy in there for a year and draft the heir apparent next yr.

Kurt Warner retired? I guess that explains why I saw him announcing arena football. I think my memory is starting to slip some or I just didn't care enough to remember he retired.

Re: Matt Leinart Benched for Cards' Game vs. Bears

If the Cards need to trade for a QB (which in my opinion may not help the team this late in the game ) why not try and go after one of the guys in Pittsburg. Dixon, Leftwich, or Roethlisberger ( their name was connected with him prior to the draft ).

The reason why I bring this up is Dixon and Lefwich have had some nice plays in preseason and it is uncertain who will start the third preseason game for the Steelers. On Espn they were reporting this morning that Ben may not draw the start tonight.

Also as savy as the Steelers are with player mangement it would seem that if a guy like Dixon or Leftwhich start the season off right for the Steelers while Ben is suspended it would almost make sense for them to jettison one guy and keep the other two.

Just my .02 since there was some discussion of getting rid of Dmac for a #1.

We finally get a guy who is a franchise QB and we should trade him away?? Not going to get my approval on that one!

Didn't care enough to remember one of the top QBs of the past decade retired...but cared enough to watch an Arena Football game.
