What comes to mind for me is 'The king is dead, long live the king'. Unless there is a revolution, the king will still be a virtually powerless if not well rewarded stooge. Just like our monarchy over here. Vive la republique I say!

From what I have heard, Meyer's team culture is centered on religion and God. That might work in college but I don't see that flying in a pro locker room.

It worked for a guy named Joe Gibbs....

Of course Bruce leaving next is most important development that could happen.
+1

If Bruce does go anywhere, it won't be until late in the season or early in the offseason. GM moves rarely happen at the same time as the HC.

KOC might be the guy next year, but I'm glad they put Callahan up for the gig. You're putting a rookie HC at a major disadvantage asking him to turn around the culture/instill his way of doing things with the team already in an 0-5 hole.

Anyways this whole discussion is a moot point if they don't #firebruce.

Any job is better than the Skins, but if you want a crack at the NFL you take it. And if you aren’t currently coaching and your two offensive stars are just beginning their career on the same team that falls in the plus column.

That's what all the college coaches say until they get a whiff of the NFL challenge, fame and money. The NFL is the pinnacle of coaching. Any true competitor wants to test his mettle at the highest level.
