The biggest difference is Zappe is not asked to do anything other than handoff the ball. The way our offense functions it all runs through the QB. Ideally I think we could run a version of what Bill is doing in New England with Zappe I just don't think ST has the ability to game plan for that. I heard an interesting stat that for his career so far when Gibson is in over 50% of offensive snaps we average over 20 points and when he is in under 50% of snaps we average under 12 points. Get him involved, run the ball, short passes and I think Howell and even Heinicke could be successful(ish)

Agree, I fail to understand why we're not going more 2 back sets or using Gibson in a H back type role. Not like he was a receiver in college is it?...

He threw it 34 times Sunday for 300 yards...

Too early to go to Howell. I’d wait until later in the season and only if he’s truly ready to play.

I assuming you are saying to early for his development not because its to early because this team has a chance with TH because any team starting TH is not a NFL team.

Only a moron would think TH is going to solve all of the problems on offense.

True and his 9 ypa is awesome. I thought it was a lot of yards after catch but it doesn’t matter you are right they passed more than ran 34-31 putting the ball in his hands. 34 attempts is a solid number

Pretty sure if he was the answer he would've beat out Heinicke for #2.

I'll say it... ya'll are outta ya fucking mind if you think watching football on the telly every Sunday qualifies you to judge talent better than an NFL coaching staff.

Luckily, for all of my faults, pride isn't one of them. If Levis is who we get, I hope I get a plate of Pterodactyl sized crow.

Note - I had to Google how to spell Pterodactyl. I thought it started with a T, and that was just the start of how far off I was.

Pterodactyl…..wow. Yeah I don’t even know where i would have gone with that spelling.
