Re: SF PG
I know it's meaningless... But I hated the call to go for it on 4th and goal early in the game, 0-0 at the time, defense was doing well, take the 3 points (those 3 points would have changed A LOT throughout the game, you didn't have to go for 2 late in the game, you didn't have to attempt the onside kick etc...) AND I hated the playcall on that play: if you do go for it, it's a short one, put your QB under center and run it up the middle from the ace, tell em "we all know what's happening but we're going to get it this time", you're not fooling anybody with that weak ass shotgun, they're not thinking that you're going to put it into Heinicke's hand on a 4th and goal from the 1... Turner got cute again on that one.
Other than that, this Oline is disappointing, Trai Turner proved me wrong again, watching him early I thought he'd be very physical... And I thought Robinson didn't have a very good game, he looked hesitant at times and he left some (tough) yards on the field by not hitting hard enough. IE, just before the 2min warning in the 1st half, the 3rd and 1 that Turner turned into a 3rd and 6 (eventually converted on a pass to Dotson IIRC), Robinson couldn't have gotten the 1st on the previous play if had just lowered it. D wasn't as awful as the score suggests, and missing Curl didn't help. On our last scoring drive, we were on the good end of an awful mistakes by the refs: the pass called incomplete to Dotson, that Shanahan wanted to challenge, was clearly an interception, and they changed the initial completed pass call to an impossible incomplete pass, since the ball never touched the ground. Crazy how no ref, even upstairs, picked up on that IMO. I don't have a definitive opinion on what to do at QB for the rest of the season. Next season keep Howell and TH as a back up for sure... But for now we're still in the mist of a playoff run, I don't have an issue with this staff doing what they think gives them the best winning chance.

Re: SF PG
Given the crazy money some are projecting for Heinicke in FA I don't see there is anyway we bring him back. Still need the money to find a starting QB next year, though I am still not totally convinced that they will cut Wentz while Ron is still in charge.

Go Minnesota too! We want the Vikings not the 49ers again.

Re: SF PG
The Giants and Commanders are almost identical teams this yr..
Both -28 in Point differential Both are 1-3-1 in the div and 4-6-1 in the NFC Both have very average offenses and top 10 defenses The only difference is they have the better QB which is why they beat us, Jones made plays and throws that TH didn't.

Re: SF PG
CY had a Grade of 87 overall. That’s amazing for his first game back. And he made some big plays.
I think he’ll be a monster next year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
