That is more about the injury guarantee on his contract. Anytime he is at the facility if he gets an injury they are on hook for his $40m salary next year, if he stays away they can cut him for a $5m cap hit in February. It is LV, not Carr, that is making him step away from the team

Maybe. But they're worried about Carr getting hurt by what exactly? If you aren't actually practicing, you're not gonna get hurt.

Any injury on site counts. If he works out in the gym or even trips and falls. While on premises it counts as a workplace injury.

If he is still on the roster and gets hurt he is covered(he is) , be it at home or at work.

Re: Around the NFL Week 17

More of a week 16 talk cuz I just watched last week 's Giants @ Vikings, but what do you guys make of this Minnesota team?

On paper it's a very complete roster, and it's been for several season, I'm more in the camp of "Kirk being unclutch is a lazy narrative", he seems to have a good connection with TJ Hokenson, Jefferson is amazing, don't know when he'll come back but Thielen is awesome too... They are 12 and 3... And yet this team doesn't look dominant... Each time I watch them it seems the defense collapses at times, or Kirk is off on some throws... One way or another they need some lucky breaks to get Ws even against a team like the Giants. They don't look like contender...

Why is that in your opinions ?

At home would be classed as a non-football related injury. You see teams getting out guaratees all of the time from players injuring themselves outside of the facility. The big problem during covid was players injuring themselves while working out at home to team instructions.

Re: Around the NFL Week 17

Dallas lost their Starting C for the season and looks like a staring MLB. Huge losses for them.

Once Philly wins Sunday there is no chance Dak plays next week. It’ll be a pre season type vibe from Dallas.

Cousins has become a better QB as time has gone on. He is clutch, he can perform in primetime, etc. I honestly think he is better than Dak, young guys like Tua. I’d probably rank him 9-10 in QBs right now.

I’m gonna be honest, I’d take him over Lamar Jax, Dak, Stafford, Kyler Murray, Goff, etc.

He owns the biggest comeback of all time. Nuf said.

Unfortunately Minnesota defense isn’t great and he can’t do a damn thing about it.

i will say this you get more miles out of a Kurt type QB then you do these running back QBs

Burrow going be around alot more then Lamar and Justin Fields

Felt bad .. I got excited when Kearse went down but then he came back in the game.

Their Center has a high ankle sprain, that looked bad.

-------------

We should learn more about the state of Tyler Biadasz, but hopefully more than anything he is alright. In his absence, the Cowboys moved guard Connor McGovern to center, Tyler Smith from tackle to guard, and inserted Jason Peters at left tackle.

https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2022...h-ankle-sprain

Nice to the see the Boys have to do the Manders shuffle with their OL

Would you credit our boy O'Connell?

2021 - OC for Rams, explosive offense, SB win
2022 - got Redskin fans saying nice things about Cousins .. hell he got vikings fans saying nice things about Cousins

There is a skill to being a running QB, Mahomes and Russ ran a lot, but they got down and out of bounds. Hit avoidance. But even if you don’t get hit and run, you are taking a chance…Dak several years ago and Kyler Murray this year had the dreaded non contact injury. 2 QB who became different players after running injuries > RG3 and Carson Wentz. Wentz used to run

I just never have thought Lamar Jax is a good passer. Fields showing something, but he needs to throw better.
