The McNabb trade: 10 years later

Wow, it's been that long...

The Donovan McNabb trade, 10 years later

Still kind of hard to believe it worked out so poorly, big props to Andy Reid though, McNabb may not have had half the career he did if he was drafted by someone else

I remember being excited...but this set the tone for Bruce Allen tenureship as GM. Just a complete debacle

The fact that Reid was willing to trade McNabb inside the division tells you he knew McNabb was done. Yet here was Bruce and Dan looking like stupid suckers willing to take that bait.

Dan Snyder has picked Jeff George, Ramsey, McNabb and Griffin. Those were QB's he was directly involved in picking. That's 0-4. Now we got Haskins...

I remember reading an article that talked about how Shanahan wanted Marc Bulger but Snyder wanted McNabb because he thought he could sell more McNabb jerseys than Bulger jerseys. If it was any team but the Skins that would seem ridiculous but for the Skins its totally believable.

Went and got a #5 jersey and all that... Was a disaster.

There is no secret that Dan has picked quite a few of our past QBs

The secret isn't that DS picked the Skins QB, its that he picked the QB based on projected jersey sales rather than ability.

Well Shanahan ultimately signed off on the deal for McNabb, had he strongly resisted who knows what may have happened.

Better to go out that way than having to coach players you don’t want

Here’s to hoping Rivera has a stronger backbone

The Walrus pulled a fast one on Ole Mr. Burns.

McNabb was awful here and he bitched for years afterwards like it wasn't his fault. Nah bruh, you sucked!!!

I am putting this here mainly because it's about QB's no longer here, but can you believe KC actually said that playing without fans would be kind of refreshing...
