Re: 53-man Roster Predictions
Robert Griffin III saga: Why cutting QB makes sense for Redskins - NFL.com
good story, covers it pretty well. first thing is he needs to be cleared, that either happens today, yesterday or next week. they also need to get the PR right on the release. if he gets cleared and they bar him from practice (like culpepper or mcnair), that can end up in a drama filled breach of contract dispute. so i think we're probably looking at T - 2 weeks max at this point. of course, we could always sign enemkpali instead. Then have our QBs take loans from him and bet on Daniel Snyder's Amazing Smashmouth Lottery. RGI is back on the market too. woo... |

Re: 53-man Roster Predictions
Cutting Griffin doesn't add up in a logical fashion though to the training camp talk.
All that 'the staff is behind Griffin' catering the offense to him is rendered false or tepid at best. 1 quarter/ 8 drop back in the Lions game then bam a complete 180 to the point of wanting him off the team altogether? Doesn't add up. Ask him to rework the contract if he wants to stick around. I think this first time something my mom used to say applies...don't cut off your nose to spite your face. |

Re: 53-man Roster Predictions
There's also the sayings "cut your losses" "Don't throw good money after bad."
Please, just stop. Quote all the statistics you want, blame it on every one else but RGIII if you must, whatever you need to do to exonerate RGIII or justify your brilliant insight that everyone else is missing, Fine. Bottom line, it's time for him to go. I have been a huge RGIII supporter, but it's time. If you refuse to see that, fine. His play has visibly regressed since 2012. He's constantly injured (legs and now three concussions). He cannot avoid the drama, he just doesn't know how. Seriously, in the last two weeks: "I am the best QB on the team." "I just work here" "My intern did it." He has still has a chance to make it in this league, but it is not here. It is better for him and for the Skins to begin life after Robert sooner rather than later.

Re: 53-man Roster Predictions
I'm going to try to ignore the RGIII circus for now.
But I am wondering if the Skins will pick up any players who are cut or make any trades before the roster is finalized. At his stage of team development it would seem to be likely. Maybe a blocking TE, a backup OT or C, another CB. |

As for chances of him being hurt are slim. If he's not in their plans at all the even slim chances are to large given the cap hit they would take. I will play Russian roulette with a cap gun. I sure am not with a .45 caliber handgun. Sent from my S6 Edge |

Re: 53-man Roster Predictions
I've wondered if griffin is saying the things he has and liking the instagram garbage, just to get released and have a chance to start somewhere else. The dudes not dumb at all...so I think it's crazy that he just started saying and doing this overwhelmingly dumb shit.

Re: 53-man Roster Predictions
If we trade rg3 it would be a huge win. I think getting a teams like the jets, bills and Chiefs talking is possible.

Re: 53-man Roster Predictions
Just don't be stupid enough to trade him to the Cowboys or the Eagles.

Re: 53-man Roster Predictions
For everybody saying chip Kelly would come running...I'm not buying that at all, well not this year. They have invested a lot into tebow who would play the roll rg3 would play...
