Christian has a l-o-o-o-n-g ways to go (and that's being nice) but I think Settle has potential.

Our entire backup OL is a mess. We need to bring in players to help there.

Perine put the ball on the ground again. Bad sign.

Ryan Anderson still looks like a man without a position.

Kevin Hogan just can't play. Period.

I know why you're up and out of bed at this hour but why am I?

Because you're a crazy Skins fan who's too excited to go to bed? I slept at 5am, I can relate to that! Here's to the Skins and being nuts

Settle was a disappointment? Just listening to the Redskins Talk podcast and they gave him a game ball.

Well... They sure know better than me, will have to rewatch our defensive snaps, and I'm waiting for Cooley's breakdown. But it felt like he wasn't moving his feet enough, and was driven back quite a lot.

Remember Moses first year was really bad. He was considered a bust.

Whoever thinks Tim Settle was disappointing doesn't understand football. You really should be banished from the board because you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

Reading shit like this on here makes me fuckin mad. Go to some other dipshit board if you don't know the game.

That's the one real legit play he made. Against a 3 stringer.
I am no line expert and am sorry if you feel like I'm completely off, but I just re-watched the game and apart from that play I really don't see what everybody is excited about.
Again, I can be wrong, and line play really isn't what I know best, but you'd have to tell me what to look for to be impressed.

Re: Redskins vs Patriots

I'm all for being proven wrong, I could even say it's why I come on this board, to deepen my knowledge of this incredible and complex game. And if everybody is high on Settle, I must be the one who's wrong. But you have to help me see it.
Because as of now, all I see is one play against a 3rd string center. I guess you could find a clip of McGee making a nice play last year too... If you think Settle was really good the rest of the game, tell me what to look for.

No more Cooley and Kevin. I am pissed! Hope we get Cooley film breakdown somehow.

From most reports and a couple beat guys ive heard this morning, Settle was solid for a rookie NT first action. From one beat reporter, quote from staff was Settle didn't look like a rookie out there.

Re: Redskins vs Patriots

Settle is interesting.

Early on in draft process I was very high on him. He just seemed to have a slippery quality about him that allowed him to be in on play after play.

Then his combine was atrocious and the "experts" said he had balance issues, couldn't stay on his feet, ward pushed off the line, etc.

I guess I could see both last night, but again, he was making plays. Yeah he is on the ground a lot, but he was falling while making a tackle.

I think he's going top be an upgrade for our D line depth for sure.
