Re: Guice Looking Good

The biggest thing will be building the muscles up around his knees and hopefully avoiding another ACL injury. I have high hopes for Guice, and can't wait to see him on the field next year. I just hope he truly does come back stronger than before.

Re: Guice Looking Good

The good part about his injury was the timing. He should be ready to rock for training camp.

Re: Guice Looking Good

Well the beauty of the timing is that it was so early it left him plenty of time to rehab for next year. A 2 month setback isn't ideal but all things considered he should be fine for next year as long as it doesn't continue.

My big concern is hopefully his rehab focuses as much on his legs as his upper body strength. As a RB that should be his primary concern. We hear stories all the time of players devoting too much time to one particular aspect of the body during injury rehab and that's how recurring injuries happen.

It's not only the doctor responsible for preventing post-surgical infection. Patient compliance is a massive factor.

Schneed, do you work in healthcare industry? I'm just wondering because your explanations of infections (in this and other threads) are right on spot.

Yes. Not as a provider, I'm an executive - my department provides data and analytics for both clinical and financial decision support. So we end up meeting with doctors to understand how the medicine works, which helps us in turn understand how the business works.

That's cool! One of the perks of working in healthcare organization, you get to learn lot of things about health and healthcare industry..

I work as QI (data analytics and audit) for integrated health center, and I'm trying to work my way up to similar position in near future.

All that picture shows is that he hasn't become a complete fatass. I hate these types of "News" stories.
