Ralph Brown Signs, Martin Chase Gone
Check out the news and notes on the Giants page on espn.com
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=nyg Don't think many of us will miss Chase, but what does the Brown signing mean for Bobby Taylor....and more importantly what does it mean for the rising career of future hall-of-famer Ade Jimoh. AJ Fan Club, defend your man!

I guess we're not after Bobby Taylor. The post also says we made an offer to Walt Harris of the colts (formerly played for the Bears). These are good nickle guys, and it gives us depth in the secondary. Look for a lot of cover-2, with complex blitz schemes.
We could still use a safety... Also, the post mentions soemthing about trading down and drafting on the d-line. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2004Mar18.html Ade will win a job in camp with his incredible effort and heart. What job that is I do not know...

Brown is a solid pick up for the money, I think he will turn out to be a good signing for us.

I must say, I don't know anything about Brown. Anyone who knows much about him mind sharing?

Taylor's price tag is probably too high.
As for Chase, who is Martin Chase? LOL |

Brown was just brought in to back up Ade - it is so obvious! I think that's a good idea - I mean, what if Ade got injured tackling T.O.?? He needs a back-up!

All I really know about Ralph Brown is that he played college ball at Nebraska and he started awhile for the Giants. Thats all.

I watched him play for the G-men this year, he wasen't bad, he's a battler, he's defiently more than just some scrub, as for ade jimoh, well I think the guy has talent and he's worth keeping he just need's a lot of refinement, hopefully he can learn.
