I've talked with Zac Robinson (now the rams QB coach) a bunch on these guys. Pretty much says Murray and Lock are the only guys he thinks can play now. Jones in the right situation, haskins as well. Again just one guys opinion. I would love to draft Kyler at 15 but we know that ain't happening

I'm shocked Murray is being talked about as a top15 pick. That is just too big of a risk taking him that high. To me he's a mid rounder because of his size, offense he played in and he runs too much.

He doesn't get hit when he runs. He is way more of a Russell Wilson than a Bobby Three Sticks.

The QBs drafted after Haskins and Murray are not first round caliber....so the Skins will have to look for a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round.....if I were Doug Williams it would be simple....draft Will Grier in the 2nd round if he's available....if he's not then draft Brett Rypien in the 3rd round...as far as what should happen prior to the draft I don't see the Redskins signing a QB in free agency....they have McCoy and the only way I see them targeting Tyrod Taylor or Teddy Bridgewater would be if they are not serious about bringing back Josh Johnson.

He's 5'8 and had never got under center. He has bust written all over him.

He's more like 5"10 with shoes on lol. But I understand your concern, I'm not a huge fan of drafting him either unless it's at 15. Trading up for him would be a bad idea, we are not a 1 player away type team. There is talk that Oakland/SF/LV whoever they are this season may take him. Apparently Chucky is in love with the guy.

After the combine and his pro day, Grier could sneak into the late 1st.. He's a good passer than can move around good enough. I'd compare him to a better Case Keenum.

Mayfield was in the same offense and has had to learn how to play under center. Honestly the size thing isn't an issue to me. The NFL game is more QB friendly than ever with college concepts all over and the rules not allowing anyone to even breath on the QB anymore.

There will be at least 4 first round QBs. Lock and Jones are legit first rounders.

I swear the way RG III would position himself before contact it was almost like he was trying maximize the damage he could receive, the exact opposite of what he should have been doing.

Re: What’s your plan for the Quarterback position?

I purposely left Foles out of the OP...surprised his name hasn't been brought up.

He may be the best QB available but we could never afford him with the coming contract.

I think he will go to the Jags, but Id watch Miami as well.

In terms of this year draft QB, Lock scares me the most...he has a big arm and nothing else. BUT what scares me more than anything is the decision makers within our organization at that position. I really hope our new OC has a large role in determining who we pick.

I agree. The game rules have changed and it protects QB’s and helps the passing game . Murray will be fine.
The way Murray plays reminds me more of a shorter version of Mahomes. His baseball experience, the snap in his throwing motion, seeing the field well and his running through progressions. Athletic but short in stature.
He plays smart.
Those that want to write him off because he is a few inches shorter than ideal have every right to do so.
Darrel Green was doubted going into college because he was short. But he is now in the NFL HOF.

It doesn't matter who we draft. We still going to be sorry.

Re: What’s your plan for the Quarterback position?

It's hard to believe this will be a playoff team this year. I say ride it out with Colt and JJ. At most, bring in a guy like Fitzpatrick, Taylor, or Siemian to compete.

Lock down your own, like Sherff and Ioannidis with long term deals.

Use the available cap space to bring in a couple top tier free agent O-linemen and a safety.

Draft BPA at 15, trade back once or twice to acquire more picks, and draft the BPA every pick. This team just needs an infusion of good young talent and depth.

Look at making the move for Tua, Herbert, or Fromm next year.

I'll be beside myself if they reach for Murray, or draft any of the top four being discussed this year.

LOL at the people that think JJ is an NFL qb
