I'm completely fine with that pick.

Heard an interview on Cooley show with Jay about the draft. He said they had 20+ players they liked in the 1st. Again who knows what the truth is, but liking that many players in the 1st and all the open comments about trading back indicates that's the plan.

Biggest obstacle is finding a partner and agreeing on price

If Lamar Jackson is on the board they'll definitely field calls for trade offers

I hope it’s not Guice at 13 when it’s such a deep RB class.

Re: With the 13th Pick the Washington Redskins select...

The noise surrounding drafting a RB doesn't match the actual identity of this team....barring a total shift in Jay's philosophy; drafting Guice with pick 13 seems like a necessary reach.

I would go Ridley all day over Guice at pick 13.

Cooley "It would not be smart to draft DT at 13 with this much depth at the pos"

I agree and have said trading back and grabbing one is the best option for us

Would you have taken Fournette a couple years ago?

If they have a 1st round grade on him, go for it. I hope they trade back and get him but I think he is pretty far above everybody but Barkley

That is what I don't understand from people, he is a mid 1st round talent, who actually is a better between the tackles runner than Barkley imo and is a perfect compliment to Thompson, if he is the best player on your board when you pick at 13, why wouldn't we take him? People love saying "trade back" trading back is great in theory or when you don't have too many picks but if your guy is there take him. We traded back in 2011 and could have had JJ Watt, but we pick at 13 and 44, 13 people say is too high for Guice, I counter and say 44 we could miss out on the top 5 backs in the draft. (Barkley, Guice, Michel, Chubb, Penny)

If Guice is the top guy on their board at 13 so be it, I won’t hate it. But I’ll be hoping someone like Fitzpatrick or James slides to us.

I think the team really believes in Nicholson, he showed some great signs last yr before injury.. I don't know that they have even brought James in for a visit have they?

Now if James or Minkah are there, I think they are the pick 100%. But in my mock which carries no weight at all, I have them both gone by 13th unfortunately, and I do not like Vea at all actually

They can make it work, Swearinger is only on a 3 year deal

We all know you are really Mel Kiper Man we all do this for fun, and we all have our Mocks so its all good. Keeps the debates up. I still say trading back is our best option

True and if DJ plays the same way as he did last yr, he will command a big deal.

Well, that didn't take long.

Just listened to Cooley's film breakdown.

The bottom line is he isn't Fournette. He is a less talented version of Fournette who Cooley said emphatically shouldn't be taken at 13 or in the 1st round at all.

Listen to it and see what you think, it is labeled as the film breakdown on 980 website. No link to the clip.

Re: With the 13th Pick the Washington Redskins select...

You can drop down Fitzpatrick and James all over the defense. I hope Swearinger and Monte start all 16. That wouldn't deter me at all from picking either of those 2 if available.

The closer I get to the draft the more I want Ward, Fitzpatrick, James, or a trade down to around 20 (give me Guice, Vea, or Payne there, in addition to 1st 3 if any magically fall that far).
