Will Heinicke *uck the Bucs Wildcard Gameday Thread

Heinicke starts and throws 3 TDs
Chase Young and our Defense harasses Tom all day. The indian curse is lifted as the Football Team wins a home playoff game

We can do it!!

I imagine this thread has the opportunity to get extreme today, but all in all the team is playing with house money in this game. A win would be crazy, but our defense can lead this team to victory!

What are you thinking about, and how are you setting in to watch?

Our D needs to play like the Rams D today, put constant pressure on Brady.

Re: Will Heinicke *uck the Bucs Wildcard Gameday Thread

Let's hope his old coach is right:

Heineke’s coach at ODU was on the pregame show. Here’s his take: 1) have patience will take time to settle in. 2) he will protect the ball. “TDs, FGs and punts - no TO’s” 3) he will move chains with his legs - look for key 3rd down QB runs 4) he’s a 1-5 progression QB who can survey the whole field. The only one he’s ever coached. If he’s settled down, watch out late. 5) he’s had 12 come from behind victories in college. 6) he’s a blue collar gamer and very intelligent
Let’s hope his college coach has a good bead on how he’ll play John Tayman

What a spot to be in for the young man. This game is on the defense, but Heinicke has a unique chance to change his life's course.

I'm pumped. Don't give a F if reality crashes back on me in a couple of hours, I'm gonna enjoy that shit !

Let our DL punch Brady in the mouth early and hope Heinicke is leaving the dream and plays lights out in his once in a lifetime opportunity !

Let's do this !

Game won't be close if JDR continues his career-long arc of not knowing how to defend Brady.

But in the chance the D holds up their end, I'm excited to see what Heineken do. Cred you said it best, we're playing with house money tonight. Let's keep this going!

Just have a feeling Brady will be picking on Curl, Reeves and Hudson. I think they'll expose Bostic every chance they get also.

I hope they can keep it together but it's a big ask for those young dudes. Bostic is just a below average LB.

Most things I have read seem to say we should have a run heavy game plan. I absolutely disagree. The Bucs will expect and be ready to stop our run if we try to win running.

We need to let our offense, particularly McKissic, Logan, and McLauren open the field than bring the running game in.

Yeah we touched on this in the pre game thread. McKissic all day with screens. Quick short get outs but by design not because we are getting bum rushed hopefully.

All Heineken has to do is play smart. Use his legs to buy a little time and do not try and do too much. He basically has to do his best healthy Alex Smith impersonation.

I wanna see Heinicke go out there and sling it. I don’t even care about losing at this point, just glad we made it this far.

Our OL must impose their will on those mf’ers, I want to see a time consuming drives and keep the ball away from Brady.

The Rams just won using the exact game plan we need to use. Overpowering D, well timed run pass mix, and a defensive pick six early enough to keep the game from getting out of control.

I don't think our offense can do that against the Tampa D.
