Haven't we seen enough of Cousins? I know I sure have.

McCoy deserved to start the Vikings game, should have started, and maybe the team thought McCoy deserved to start the game too.
JLee9718 and Gary84Clark should have a deep and meaningful discussion of the Redskins QB situation.

I understand the need for Snyder to tell Gruden that he is playing RG3, but in turn that meant we ended up benching the guy who had won two straight (Colt McCoy).

I also sort of wonder what kind of shit will hit the fan if the skins lose out, and i wonder if that ever comes up in anyones conversations - that the decision on starting QB was made by the owner.

I think it brings up the other great point that many posters have pointed out. It's going to be very tough to get good HC's and coordinators when it is well known that in actuality they have very little say on personnel, who to start, etc.. I can't imagine any legit HC coming here after Gruden when he already knows that he may not get the final say on who starts, etc...

I hope we finish better than last year. 6-10 sucks but it shows some improvement. I think in year two Gruden has to be at least 8-8 or he' gone....
God I'd pray not. Gruden has the kind of attitude we need in a head coach. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we need a franchise coach as much as we need a franchise quarter back.

I'm tired of the revolving door and the same old same old.

What we really need to do is to bring back Shane Matthews. He has more experience than any QB on the roster and has the same ability to succeed as Cousins or McCoy.

RG3 is 3-12 in games since his injury(his first) that is not that impressive either. Plus the fact we have yet to see him make it through a whole season. Tired of hearing how great Rg3 is (or is going to be) when he can't even get off the bench.

Fact is, the Skins got fleeced by the Rams.

You mean the quarterback-less Rams that have gotten nothing out of those draft picks we sent them and will likely need to draft a QB next season?

Add Hijinx to that list.

Seriously, while no one would likely say that RGIII is the clear answer (not until we see him healthy and sustained good play), I think it is likewise silly to say that he's the root of the problem here. Our D has been horrid the last two seasons (longer, really), as have our special teams. One player isn't going to carry the team -- not with as many holes as we have had.

To be clear, I am not diminishing the importance of the QB position, far from it. But RGIII is already better than anyone we've had at that position in recent memory, whether he's lived up to expectations, realistic or unrealistic as they may be. We need to see what he can do, and the rest of the season will be an important test. If he plays well and stays healthy, regardless of wins and losses (because, let's face it, we're not going 7-0 to finish the season), we can (hopefully) move on from the angst-ridden discussion about the QB and focus our energies on building an O-line, adding at least 1 safety and 1 CB, and otherwise getting some more depth on the team.

During the time Haslett has been our defensive coordinator, we're the only team in the league with a losing record when we score 26 points or more.

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...

^ A depressing statistic. I should add that we need D line help. Hatcher isn't getting younger, nor is Cofield, and I am not sold that Baker, Jenkins, Golston, Bowen, or Nield (also hurt) -- or anyone else we've plugged in up front is more than just a guy.

Are you saying that the trade tore Sam Bradford's ACL?

What the Rams did with the picks has nothing to do with the price that the Skins paid. If you go and buy a pack of gum for $100 and the guy selling gum blows the $100 at the casino, it doesn't mean you got a good deal on the gum just because the casino thing didn't pan out for the other guy.

Hightower again? Are we hurting at RB that bad? I definitely get the lineman, I can try to get the WR too, but RB? I'm just confused.

Well considering I was dumb enough to shell out $100 for gum in the first place, it sure helps me sleep better at night that Joe Blow didn't turn my $100 into $100,000 and ran off with the hot blonde who rejected me on prom night.

But I'm just schadenfreude like that...

My bad. Benn and Moeaki worked out with Seattle, not the Redskins

It was probably just a favor to Hightower since he's in the area and is looking to get back in the league with any team

If you pay 12 cents for 500 packs of gum but still have Rex Grossman as your QB.... Nobody has won either.
