Re: Paul Richardson released
That's the smart play. Shows other players that the team cares about them, especially after they sacrifice their future health in pursuit of helping the squad.
Jordan gave us everything he had until he couldn't. Hopefully he's able to retire comfortably without any long lasting issues.

Re: Paul Richardson released
Always liked Paul Richardson, but he just couldn't stay healthy here. Wish the best for him.

Re: Paul Richardson released
As far as I know, Reed still hasn’t cleared the concussion protocol. He can’t be cut until he’s cleared unless they work about an injury settlement.

Re: Paul Richardson released
I wish Reed well and hope things don't go south for the guy. He took that nasty hit in that pre season game and was never heard from again. If he hasn't been cleared by now I'm seriously concerned for the guy. He should stop playing football. I just have a feeling that he is going to be one of the guys that ends up w/ severe CTE

Re: Paul Richardson released
If he hasn't cleared protocol by now then that has to be the clearest indicator to himself that he should retire. I agree they are probably talking an injury settlement hence the delay in news.

Re: Paul Richardson released
Richardson always looked too weak and fragile to be in the NFL, he looked like he never saw the inside of a weight room. He was listed at 6' 180#, he couldn't have weighed that in full gear carrying a full Gatorade bucket.

A good example is professional boxers, Ali was already showing signs of irreversible brain damage in his late 30's, Joe Frazier lived into his late 60's without any such issues. Pretty sure Frazier took more shots to the head than Ali. |
