Seems like he might know something.
Cred no biggie but Scott Turner is our o-coordinator. Still I trust his judgement on this one.

The right move. I knew after the draft pick was traded for Allen and they were considering drafting Tua last year that he wasn't sold on Haskins. Haskins had his chance and didn't impress.

No one on this board is giving Allen a chance at all. I'm not saying the guy is going to be Dan Marino but at least be open minded. If anything, at least we'll find out what we have him in. Haskins not even being the backup is all you need to know. Wow on that note.

Haskins will be inactive. This is the next step for Alex Smith returning. This staff believes Smith is ready to play. #WashingtonFootball

I am, and I liked his film last yr.. He knows the offense and gets the ball out quickly.. Terry should flourish with him

I was thinking of Norv Turner. Blows my conspiracy theory out the window. Lol

Re: Kyle Allen named the starter

I said early last year that Haskins has none of the qualities I would look for in a QB. I never understood what people saw in him. I'll be surprised if he ever starts another game anywhere.

Great. He started 12 games for Carolina last year. Liked his draft profile and excited to give him a real chance. Also excited Smith could be back in the mix also. Pretty crazy news but happy to hear it honestly.

Re: Kyle Allen named the starter

Allen feels like a Colt situation.

Knows the offense, can get the ball out quick, limited arm.

Allen had a 49.7 grade for 2019, last amongst qb's with at least 200 dropbacks.

Yeah the ceiling isn't very high with him. He should be able to operate the offense more efficiently but his arm is definitely limited. Let's just hope he's not as fragile as Colt was.

I can't believe Alex Smith could see action Sunday (If Allen goes down) who would have ever thought it??

Im squirming at the thought of it. Is there anyway that bone could withstand a helmet hit to it?

I'll never discount the advancements in medicine and healing from 1985 to now. If the doctors approve it, that's good enough for me.

Part of me secretly wishes he'd get some PT so we can all stare in amazement at the miracle we'd be witnessing.

Re: Kyle Allen named the starter

idk if I want to see Alex out there. It's a great story though - we are going to hold our breath when and if he gets tackled.

DH has played his last down for us.
