To me that's a glaring consistency problem.

Except Zorn. He needed to go.
I reserve the right to change this opinion after 8 more games, but at this point, bringing Shanahan back for 2013 would be way more inexcusable than bringing Zorn back for 2009 was. And could result in a season that would be even more of a disaster.

Doing a hell of a job in St. Louis. I mean his record is so much better than Shanahan's and he's definitely not getting waxed at home either.
Difference being the Rams don't have the money to pay Fisher and another coach, but we do, and that should be a deciding factor in who coaches each team next year.

Injuries are league wide. We need depth. Depth across the board plus a secondary. Plus even with a healthy Garcon maybe some wide recievers after what I saw today. Plus a damn punter.
Not just a secondary. I thought that just last week. I did. Now i think this.

I think firing him tomorrow or even at the bye would be really reactionary and counterproductive. You want to at least see if the team has the character to rebound from a big loss.

But taking a look around at other names would be prudent at this point. You don't want to be caught with your pants down after the season.

5 years I think is good. I'm just not crazy about firing him after 3 years, especially with a franchise that was recently in shambles.

That said, I don't mind taking a very close look at the defensive coordinator position.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?

Given the way Shanahan is dragging this team through the mud, at what point does the fan face the question: Am I a Skins fan or a Shanahan fan?

Right now, with enough kool-aid or scotch, you can be both. Some of us choose to stick to water on Sundays. But eventually we'll all have to choose, just as Denver did.

Wait, you mean to tell me that a man (Stan Kroenke) with a net worth of 3.2 billion can't afford to pay 2 coaches, but Dan Snyder can?.....lol

Wrong.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?

I've gone from wanting to keep Shanny to where I need him to prove something now. If he can only win 5 or 6 games this year, I wouldn't mind a bit if he's fired at the end of the season.

My hunch-backed granny could win 6 games with RGIII at QB.

Well, they might be the best team in the AFC...

But Denver made a ton of mistakes after firing Shanahan. I'm not suggesting by any means that we fire the coach and trade RG3 to the Rams for Sam Bradford and two first rounders, then hire Josh McDaniels and start Kirk Cousins.

Wrong.
Well, he'd be doing it at a significant personal financial loss.

But if your point is he could afford it, then yes, yes he could.

He did beat Shanny just a few weeks ago.
