We should be able to move the ball more like the Rams and Dolphins games. If Kirk is on point then the offense should look terrific. In this game, our offense might actually be our best defense.

Of course, injuries will play a factor as well..
It's fine to look at yards per carry, but the other side of the equation is true too. If a team is far behind that rushing is not going to win the game Atlanta can give up more rushing yardage per play comfortably. You can bend all day if you know your quick strikes will score easily.

Bottom line, stats give a perspective, but their team has 4 wins, ours has 2, and they average 34 points a game, we average 19. Our best outing is 24, their worst outing is 24. In other words in their worst game we still at best play to a tie playing our best one.

Is DJAX playing? I think the skins will really surprise us all and the league with a HUGE upset sunday. 26-23

KC leads another GW FG drive this time around.

Julio scares me and I'm sure he will have a good game but if we can control the clock and have no TO's we win.

I think he's doing limited practices. I feel like he has a 50/50 shot this week. If he's not playing this week then next week.

Re: Falcons Pregame

I believe Alt will win and win big. 20+ points. Alt will pull away in the 4th quarter and the final score will look worse than it really was. It will be close for the first half and our inability to score TDs will be the biggest issue. We won't have anybody to cover Julio Jones and our lack of depth will really show. Our young players will play well. KC will have 300+ yards 1 TD and 2 Int. The team will have 50 - 75 yards rushing. We will stick with the running game until we are behind by more than 14 points (Alt 21 - Skins 6). Next week we will be bitching about JG and the play calling. The media will say "I told you they are not any good". The world will not end and the sun will come up; we will be tied for 2nd place in the division.

Atl isn't as good as their record says, Skins can win this but it will take their best game.

Julio worries me
Freeman doesn't

Stick with the run, bracket Julio all day... easier said than done.

Re: Falcons Pregame

A tough game--Atl is hot right now, and we look to be without enough live bodies in the secondary. Jones is gonna torch us; he's been torching everyone. If they play their game at home, we're going to have a hard time of it.

But, to be honest, this is not the game that matters. The win against Philly means you can lose this one and still be in decent shape. The two games that follow, Jets and TB, those are the ones we need. So go into Atl and play hard but don't take it too hard if you lose. The real key is bouncing back and winning the winnable ones. Going on the road to a dome to play an undefeated team riding high without our starting CBs, #1 WR and TE, not to mention our inexperinced Oline and our fragile QB--that's a tough one. But the jets and TB, different story.

I know, I know, we want to win every one. But the trick to getting better is being resilient, bouncing back, winning the ones we can. And then you build.

I consider the Jets a better team than the Falcons.

Nervous about the game as it approaches, we really need help in the secondary...

Re: Falcons Pregame

If Jackson were able to play that would be a big help. Just not sure I would count on him. Obviously his lack of off season preparation needs to be addressed when the season is over. Personally I would look at Ross to take his place. Not sure what the cap implications are if he were cut.
