Jenkins is a beast and doesn't have to change positions so he will hunker down and be the best.

Kerrigan's stats will be flashier, but Jenkins will have the bigger impact.

Re: 2011 Redskins Defensive Rookie of the Year

Kerrigan, for two reasons.

A. With Orakpo on the other side, Kerrigan will have a lot easier time getting to the quarterback.

B. I'd love to pick Jarvis Jenkins, but even if he stands out in the preseason he's still going to split time with Stephen Bowen, which isn't necessarily a bad thing for the team, but it's going to make it even harder for him to have a bigger impact than Kerrigan. Plus with 3-4 DE's you only see so much visual impact, he might be great at doing what his assignment is (blocking o-linemen) but it's not going to show up on the stat sheet, whereas Kerrigan's impact will (tackles, sacks, tackles for a loss)

Kerrigan might get the Sacks, but I think Jenkins will have the better overall play for this year. (barring injuries of course)

Wow, we're throwing to him at the goal line? Nice.

I've gotta say I'm ecstatic about Jenkins standing out
so far. I'm pumped that our DL could actually be a strength

Jenkins is off to a great start no doubt. Can't wait to see him in some live action.

For the season still got my money on Kerrigan.

Re: 2011 Redskins Defensive Rookie of the Year

I was surprised with how much Warren Sapp dogged Jarvis for being drafted so high. His tape showed nothing but promise. Jarvis will see the field a lot even though Bowen was paid starter money. Can I get a Jarvis Jenkins avatar please.

Re: 2011 Redskins Defensive Rookie of the Year

Choices are slim, since we only have two rookie defenders from the draft that will get enough playing time to even qualify.......J. Jenkins
