2016 Olympics
A little surprised this thread hasn't been started already, but c'est la vie.
Some good stuff - the Phelps. Some bad stuff - Green pools. ... and meme central. First the Phelps glare (the new "Crying Jordan" but for anger). Now this great shot of Usain Bolt. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cp3l5BEVYAElBBA.jpg My favorite was the caption "Usain Bolt stops. Takes a selfie. Then wins race." Usain Bolt is unreal.

Re: 2016 Olympics
Track bores me. Loved the swimming (I was one, so obv).
It's harder for female swimmers to hang onto their prime years than it is for men. But Ledecky has a shot at going down as one of the all time greats. Only 19, we'll see how she looks at 23.

2016 Rio Olympics -- U.S. swimmers Jack Conger, Gunnar Bentz ordered to stay in Brazil
Is it me or does this guy Ryan Lochte seem like the biggest lying douchbag? Def with that hair qualifies him as a finalist for Douche of the Year.

Re: 2016 Olympics
Totally. Did you hear his interview?
"Then he pointed the gun to my forehead and I put my hands up and was like 'Whatever'" Bull-fucking-shit. He pissed his pants a little bit like ALL of us would have.

Re: 2016 Olympics
I really don't get why it's such a huge story. The stuff people care about never ceases to amaze me. Lochte is well known as being a huge douche, probably more well known for that than his swimming.

Re: 2016 Olympics
Am I the only one that gives zero shits about the Olympics? Not to be a Debbie downer or anything.

2016 Olympics
Guess I did. I'd rather watch golf, or stare at a blank wall. |

Re: 2016 Olympics
Best part of the Olympics has been the "hold up" so far.

Re: 2016 Olympics
A lot of us were premature on judging Lochte. He was not 100% truthful on certain details, but when the USA Today did their own investigation, they found Lochte's story to not be far from the truth, and also painted the police of Brazil in a negative light by revealing that the police never even questioned the American Swimmers about the incident. They also have the full un-doctored video from the gas station incident and Lochte and the other swimmers never even went inside the bathroom. A sports correspondent also mentioned that there was no evidence of anything being replaced inside the bathroom, despite the police saying that the bathroom was heavily damaged.
The bottom line is what most people figured. Rio Police also exaggerated their story to try and save face for the otherwise huge gaffe that was the Rio Olympics...

Re: 2016 Olympics
Speaking of Ryan L, he is going to be on Dancing with the Stars this fall. Really sick of seeing him! He is an attention whore.
