Re: Positives - What Positives You Ask?

Theres a lot of positives!

We have a franchise QB!

He's still healthy!

We no longer have to hear about the whole suck for luck thing because we got our franchise QB!

Our draft picks are looking good!

The offense is great, is getting a lot of yards and points. Our defense will be improved next year and hopefully will be on the same track as our offense!

We are competitive! No blow outs yet!

We have depth at some of our strong positions (OLB, DL)!!

Kyle Shanahan is looking like a good coach!!

Avengers comes out on DVD tomorrow!!

Exclamation marks!!!!

We never should have heard from those "Suck for Luck" traitors to begin with.

We all remember who those traitors were.

RGIII will keep us in nearly every game. He's the main reason to have faith in the future.

Re: Positives - What Positives You Ask?

we're probably 11th is completion % because our linebackers are actually playing pretty well and stopping some of the short stuff. so i guess we were right when we said the secondary would be a huge concern.

so, for my positives:
RGIII.

Honestly the only way this isn't is the one word which everybody wants to speak, but I shall not speak. To have a rookie qb with a qb rating of 103 after 3 games is frickin unheard of. Say what you will about the option, but he has made every throw, short, lateral, mid level, and deep. In training camp people were worried about bounce passes, or inaccurate deep balls, but his throw to Garcon in the opener was perfect, and he has had a couple other deep balls that hit the receivers in full stride. He hasn't locked on to one receiver, instead he has hit TE's, WR's, RB's.

And Finally, and this is the most important thing. He is not a finished product. What we are seeing is close to his floor. Maybe he regresses if the option safety net is pulled away, but, clearly the speed of the game is clicking for him, and in terms of hits, he's not the most hit, or least hit, and he understands the hits are a part of the game. You don't see a Blaine Gabbert fear of hits. Who knows how high his ceiling is!!!

I would hope he would have taken rg3 and think he would have even with the first pick. I remember being nervous the colts were going to change their minds rite up until i heard their pick.

Man, now I'm negative, what if we had sucked for Luck, gotten the 1st overall, then traded down with Indy and still gotten Griffin, but picked up an extra 2nd.

I'm so down now.

ugh.

Fair enough. I didn't mean to make this unhappy.

I believe that Perry Riley is coming of age in a good way. He's a Skins hero in the making.

Interesting. I dont know? The colts might have known we wanted griff or maybe thought griff and a two was better than luck anyway. Of course if we had sucked for luck (or griff) we would still have our number two and two more ones. Uggh. Now im depressed too. Lol.
Those dumb wins are making me sad.

Re: Positives - What Positives You Ask?

These losses are far more entertaining than knowing the game is over when down by more than a score, as was the case last year. RG3 gives us hope, which is something we haven't had in a long time.

Seems like the Shanahans want to play Cousins, because they're going to get Griffin killed.

Re: Positives - What Positives You Ask?

Reading alot of threads about RGIII getting hurt. News flash this is the NFL players get hurt. This is what they sign up for. RGIII is young, smart , tough and is a baller . You cant hold him down because he is the Truth. I cannot wait to get P. Garçon back which improves our offense and gives RGIII another big play threat. The defense will get better mark it down. Remember the Bengals made the playoffs last year they are not bums. HTTR
