Re: NFL mad at Skins

OK, I am not one for conspiracy theories, but I have to say that I find today's $20K fine for the reporting on RGIII's concussion to be astonishing. First of all, as the NFL.com reporting on it makes clear, the "concussion" diagnosis was actually made with only 2-3 minutes left in the game, and thus the Redskins were fined $20K for not correcting the original statement that he was "shaken up" for that short period of time. What nonsense. He wasn't even on the field -- I don't think that anyone was expecting his return in the final minutes.

Moreover, the Bills were fined the same amount, even though they had not accurately reported the Mario Williams wrist injusry for several weeks. At a minimum, one might expect some proportionality here and see a Redskins fine that was smaller than the Bills fine.

It does create the impression that someone is enjoying tweaking our team.

Re: NFL mad at Skins

they fine teams $20k for something like this...

they should fine teams at least 53 times what they fine players for infractions of a comparable degree.
