It's going to be interesting if Brady goes to the Raiders. Aside from the Dolphins, they are the only team with enough resources to move up to #2, #3, or #4 to get Tua.

I highly doubt the Raiders would make such a move if they sign Brady (who has basically prevented the Pats from draft/groom his heir apparent for years). The Dolphins may be able to sit at #5 and still get Tua if this happens (unless the Lions take him).

Why?

He's won a ton of Super Bowls with New England, while being underpaid. He chose to do this, but he was underpaid.

He explicitly changed his contract last year in order to hit free agency this year.

And if he has anything to prove to himself, is whether he can win without Belichick.

If he wants one last payday, I say go for it. Also, to me it will be a hell of a lot more interesting to see whether Brady can win without BB and vice versa, than seeing back in New England.

Eli Apple, CB, 24 yrs old, 10th overall pick in 2016

PFF grade of 63.8

If I were in the Saints’ front office, I’d set a low price for Apple and not budge. If he doesn’t quite get the suitors he expects in free agency, maybe he’ll settle.

Anywhere in the range of $4-6 million per year would be what I think Mickey Loomis and Sean Payton should offer Apple, with not much of an annual commitment. This send the message that they want him back, but aren’t going to splurge by any means.

6M for a young CB2 ... who may or may not pan out? I wouldnt be mad at it. I think we need to address CB, especially if Dunbar stuff goes sideways.

Did I mention hes young?

Brady -- I think the LA Chargers HAVE to sign him. You are moving into a new stadium, youre the red headed step child of LA compared to the Rams ...

Brady marketing and merchandise would cover his salary and then some. If Im the owner, Id get involved there and make sure I can market and make some money.

Mcnabb light -- gotta make a move to sell hope ie tickets and jerseys

Yup, we'd get to see who was the Batman and who was the Robin of perhaps the greatest sports duo of all time.

*with a grain of salt

Brady will be 43 by the time the season starts, so while he's already the GOAT and the old-man Goat by extension, he's still not gonna be as fresh as he was at 23 or even 33. I'd say he's already the best over-40 qb statistically, but even so that doesn't mean father time hasn't started catching up to him.

I think he just wants to prove how capable he is without the coaching savvy of Belichick.

The other advantage Belichick has is he turned a guy in Matt Cassel (who was never worth a damn anywhere else) into an 11-5 winner the year Brady was out. So you can already give Belichick his due for surviving without Brady.

Also, people forget BB has had a winning season without Brady (when Brady was out for the season with a knee injury). I think Brady can make a team like the Chargers or the Titans competitive right away.

Not at all. This time, it's all about the money.

Can't see Brady going to to the Raiders. As pointed out by their own staff Statistically Carr is a good QB. If there is a leadership question, maybe Brady helps but I doubt he'll be a statistical upgrade. I'd say Chargers far more likely while they bring on a rookie.

Why not both?

Also you realize he's a trophy husband right, Gisele's career earnings make his look pedestrian.

How many NFL quarterbacks are out earned by their wife or girlfriend? Probably only Brady. Danica Patrick makes $$, but nowhere near what Rodgers does.

If he wants to win, he stays. If its about $ then go ahead and leave and finish 8-8
