Sandtrapp - posting on here an hour after this kind of loss ... youre just trolling and enjoying our misery. If you posted on here mid to late last year when the Boys season was done and we were winning the NFC east, okay cool. But you didnt.

Don't tell me you're not infuriated by how atrocious this D is right now. This elite DL is not getting any pressure, our LBs are who we thought they were, our secondary can't cover and we can't get off the field on 3rd down.

We could be 0 and 3 after 3 close games lost because of close calls/last minute turnovers, and I wouldn't be that worried.
I just don't see how we win 3 more games with how bad they are playing.

Ok, it's a week to week league and they have time to turn things around, but we are talking about a massive turn around even to become averagely bad.
I'm not infuriated.

We have a QB that has started 3 NFL games, and a defense that can only get better. Yesterday's loss was ugly, but my expectations are to still win this Division, and see what happens in the post season.

WAY too early to throw in the towel.

I can't crown them the best dl ever....but they def are playing under their ceiling from what I saw last year.
Also...I don't know what we have in heineke. I think yesterday was more of what he would be as a regular full time starter. But we also have to agree that he is leaps and bounds above our qb situation the last 2 or 3 years. Again....we are no offensive juggernaut, but we have more talent than what has been displayed this year. I don't know what the answers are...but it def seems like coaching and scheme to me. It almost feels like we are playing to lose. Very very strange to see improved personel on the field and upgraded positional players (minus lb, and rt) to degrade so much. It's like they are just going through the motions so they don't have to worry about the game in 3.5 hrs.
I was skeptical about rr's record....but welcomed the culture change....but I'm wondering if that has even happened, or if it was all smoke and mirrors preaching discipline and change...cause at this point, it doesn't seem like it was really really real at all.
Agree. For someone who preached preparation it seems like this team isn't prepared to play. Last year with Covid shortened off-season there was an excuse but this year they have had all the OTLs and training camp but WFT still doesn't look remotely prepared.

If it makes anyone feel better it took RR three season to produce a winning record in Carolina. The downside of that is he had one of the best young QBs in the NFL, he doesn't have anything close to that here.

Few positives from yesterday's loss:

- Daron Payne had a career high 11 pressures
- Sam Cosmi had the highest pass blocking grade of his career at 82.5

Nice ... I honestly didnt notice Payne or any collapsing pockets yesterday.

I also dont remember hearing Cosmi's name called which is a good thing for OL guys usually. Same for Leno, Flowers, Roullier and Scherff.

OL has been our best unit with the RB duo.

Re: WTF @ Bills post game thread

Multiple picks should have been spent on linebackers. And not guys in the 7th they might try to turn into one.

Instead we drafted Forrest in the 5th and a longsnapper in the 6th. And we also traded away a 5th round pick in 2022 to add the longsnapper and some 7th round picks.

Even with spending a 1st round pick, what they did this offseason for the LB room was criminal. Nothing is fixing that room in pass coverage. They simply aren't good enough. So the middle of the field is always going to be easy money.

Davis is starting to flash, Holcomb is decent, and the rest is ass.

Re: WTF @ Bills post game thread

Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll stayed ahead of his Washington counterpart, defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio, all day, with his formations beating Del Rio’s coverages. Worse, Daboll’s unit was light years ahead of Del Rio’s in on-field execution, starting with converting a third-and-15 on Buffalo’s first drive — which started the Bills toward a touchdown on their first possession, marking the third straight game Washington’s defense has given up seven on the first series. Again, Washington couldn’t get off the field when it mattered; again, the front four that got so much hype coming into the season didn’t lay a glove on the quarterback.

Buffalo was 9 of 15 on third down Sunday. Through three weeks this season, teams are a collective 27 of 46 (.587) on that down against Washington. Per StatMuse, the worst single-season third-down percentage allowed is .567 by the Saints in 2011.

That isn’t a red alert; that’s Defcon Zero.

When they converted the 3rd and 15 right off the bat I pretty much knew then the game was over.

Are you talking about the first Bills drive?

I thought the same thing if so.

I thought to myself "Jesus you come out get two good stops and a plenty set them up for a long 3rd down the DL should be able to pin their ears back in that situation and next play Bills are punting", but NOPE.

I know they do, but I hadn't seen CY do it and he looked lost in the one play that stuck out.

Was this the 3rd down where the Bills o-lineman was behind Jon Allen and had his arm hooked around his neck?

YEP!

That non-call pissed me off, especially after they called that ticky tack offensive pass interference penalty on WFTs first series.
