Although, Green Bay got the ball back on the latter, per an INT from Prescott, they didn't get into the end zone.

Rodgers has been very, inconsistent for about a year now. I don't know if he's plateauing; doesn't have enough weapons; or, a combination of all of the above.

Dallas is playing well, but there is a feel of a team that's currently overachieving.
Thought the Packers defense looked totally lost. I was seeing WRs running wide open downfield. This isn't Dez Bryant we're talking about either.

Unfortunately this was the first game I was like, "Wow, Dak finally making throws downfield." What a butthole.

Kind of crazy how a lot of teams on paper looked like losses this year, but damn, we have a chance against the Bengals, Packers, etc.

I agree with this. Been thinking it for a couple of years now. He is on a weak team, but Andrew Luck is/was considered a "put the team on my back and carry them to victory " type guy. He is far from it. Is he horrible - of course not. Is he above average - surely. BUT he ain't all that he was supposed to be.

The NFC East is no joke though. I wish three of the four teams were, but right now they are thee best division from top to bottom. No doubt. Amazing.

Re: Around the NFL week 6

You can keep Luck at 24 million a year. Not a cap expert but that amount of money seems like it would hurt teams trying to pay and keep other players.

Wasn't there some other QB who came out the same year as Luck? Heck, they should have gone with him! Can't seem to put my finger on the other guy's name ...

I'll give him one thing, his OL is shit, but he hurts himself by holding the ball way too long and doesn't make quick decisions.

Again, I take metrics with a grain of salt, but that Ryan Kelly isn't exactly lighting the world on fire at center. I think it said 29th rated center?

Re: Around the NFL week 6

we got some contractors coming in at work...talking some football. I think its always funny when someone tells me their team is the Patriots. Richmond, VA born and raised...and your team is the Pats? This guy is just out of college, and he said well they've been my team since I was 7 years old.

Dude, don't try to bullshit me.

Re: Around the NFL week 6

Posted something about our LT's in another thread. With the exception of 1996 - 99, we have had four starting LT's: Jacoby, Lachey, Samuels, and now Trent. That is some serious stability of high level quality at the position over 35 years.

In comparison here is Luck's O-Line issues:

Quote:
The continuity the Colts crave on the line – that pride Irsay was talking about – continues to elude them. It’s the NFL’s longest-running game of musical chairs: Only once in Luck’s career (60 games) has he had the same offensive line in front of him for more than three consecutive weeks. Since his rookie year in 2012, Luck has had nine left guards, six centers, eight right guards, eight right tackles and one left tackle.
Is the Colts offensive line getting better? Or worse?

No fan of Luck so not making any excuses for him but, of the position groups, it's on the O-Line where continuity counts the most.
